I try charge it for more that 24 hours, failed to charge it - totally broken item, and failed to get refund from Amazon, be careful !!

I have a power wheelchair that runs on 24 volts. Suddenly the charger that came with the chair wouldn't work and I heavily rely on the chair to get around. I saw this one and decided to order it.I had to replace the plug that went into the chair on my old charger a couple of years ago and noticed something unusual - inside the plug one of the power leads was jumpered to the bottom pin in the plug. This made no sense as it would have made more sense to do this in the controller of the chair where there is more room - unless this was used to signal that the plug was in. A bit of testing confirmed this. It would only charge when this connection is present. My chair has a Shark controller as do many other brands.Now back to the present. I checked the new charger for this jumpered connection and it didn't have it. I was going to open the plug and add it but the plug was a molded one so that was out. I have a spare plug so I could have cut the original one off and soldered on the replacement but that would preclude returning it if it didn't work. So I got a single conductor wire of about 22 gauge, stripped the insulation off, and shaped it to fit around the two pins that needed to be connected and slid it into the new molded plug. It worked perfectly!After letting it run through a charging cycle I took my precision soldering iron and soldered my wire into place so it wouldn't slide out some day and it's worked perfectly ever since.Surprisingly the cases of both new and old chargers are identical in every way except color, and the fact that the new one has more LEDs. The new charger is much quieter than the old one. Charging time is the same as they are both the same amperage. I do like having status indicators, the old one had a power light and another that signaled it was done so you never knew how long you had left.Cons. This charger may be slightly overcharging the batteries a bit. If I allow it to go until all lights are happy the chair is a bit twitchy until you run it a while, it has more get up. On both chargers if the batteries are low when you charge them the plug that goes into the chair gets pretty warm. The new charger has an extra plug, A two pin automotive plug, that allows you to use the three pin wheelchair plug or a cord with two alligator clips. This plug got very warm one night. I unplugged it and reconnected it and next time it stayed cool.After the new charger was in use I tore down the old one and found a poorly soldered wire and fixed it. So now I have two working chargers but use the new one.I noticed in some of the reviews that some people said that the charger didn't work, and I am wondering if it's because it's missing that jumper I added. If this was the cause only those using the three pin plug would be affected, and only those that needed the jumper.

I have solar panels in my house or my travel trailer I also have a solar panel on my SUV to charge a marine battery that also works out for accessories and the charger works very well charging the battery or trickle charging the battery well I recommend this battery charger. yes I have also bought two of them and plan on buying one more or two more
