Good backup pump - convenient but a couple things make use frustrating
I have a Spectra pump that I use as a primary pump but wanted the option to have a pump to walk around with and not feel stuck to a machine. I opted for this as the price was much more reasonable than a Willow or Elvie, and since it would be a secondary pump.Pros:As it says, it’s hands free and tucks into your bra. I’m about a C/D cup postpartum and have been wearing a regular nursing bra and this tucks right in. It’s super obvious that you have pumps on but I’m not worried about discretion so that was not an issue for me.It’s pretty easy to put together and I have not had issues with the parts so far.The motor is easy to use and clear in its screen icons. It holds a charge for awhile as well.So far my output has been pretty good, not quite as much as when I use my spectra but not too much less - this might be more of an issue if I was using this pump exclusively.I ordered the momcozy 21mm flange inserts and they seem to work fine so far.Cons:There are a lot of parts to clean/sanitize after each use but that’s the name of the game with most pumps.Similarly, it takes a few minutes to assemble each piece to prepare to pump. It’s easily done just takes some extra time. The motor comes off super easily, and has come off multiple times while wearing it if I needed to adjust the pump on my breast. It can be difficult to get the right “fit” of your nipple into the flange, I usually have to adjust myself into the pump again after I start it as I can tell it’s not sucking right. The motor is not the most quiet and the motor-on-top style makes it very obvious that you’re pumping. I’m pumping at home so this is not a big deal for me, but if you’re looking for something discrete this would not be it.Overall I’m happy with the purchase as my secondary pump!

Great while it lasted
This pump is great I have another pump I received through my insurance that was pretty nice as well but this pump definitely got more milk out. It’s not too loud it’s noticeable but not annoying I learned to tune it out. Easy too clean, I can get about 3 25/30min sessions before it needed to be charged so it eas great to use at work instead of carrying my plug pump. It was easy to wear while doing dishes, cooking, working at my computer! However I noticed about a two months one of my pumps sounded a little different from the other, my mother actually noticed first but I paid it no mind because they both seemed to be working just fine. Sadly one day after pumping I removed the tops from the bottom where the milk goes & a piece was broke idk why or how. I’ve tried still using it by putting it back together and while it does start working the piece comes back off each time so I’ve stopped using it. Since it’s out of the return period & my daughter is 10 months old it’s not worth buying another one. But it’s a lovely pump I would just say if one sounds different maybe send it back just as a precaution.

(EDIT NOT Preferred) over Willow 3.0
Update: The pump broke after 2 months. I’ve contacted customer service through email, support ticket and phone and literally can’t get a hold of them to save my life soo glad I wasted that money. Support finally returned my email almost 2 weeks later. They tried to only send me one pump (2 were broken). The replacement I received had a defect. The next replacement I received had a defect on the flange.Willow recommended over MomCozyMomCozy vs Willow 3.0MomCozy:(Pros)WAY more cost effective. The pump replacement parts for the Willow were $80 alone. Thats nearly the same cost as the MomCozy.WAY easier to clean.Easier to get a second let down. Its almost impossible to get a second let down with the Willow because its automatic. It automatically senses the milk and transitions. So you would have to take a long enough break in between to avoid the Willow picking up on the presence of milk.Holds way more than you would think. I’ve gotten almost 6-7 oz out of one container. I believe the manufacturers details say approx 4.5 oz. Willow will hold 4oz at the absolute maximum. It often reads full closer to 3oz and reports inaccurate numbers due to several factor. So a lot of the time it reads full and has no milk.Universal USB charging cord 🙌 and two cords are supplied. This is huge for travel - especially for “hands free” pumps.Easier to obtain proper nipple placement. The Willow can easily be improperly placed a leading to tissue damage, unproductive pumping, and less milk.Spills less. Willow is hard to pour in my opinion and sprays everywhere when you release the plug.(Cons:)The small parts are very easy to lose when cleaning or storing, but also comes with an extra piece.Seems louder (much different noise) than Willow. Doesn’t seem to wake or affect my baby, but more people tend to notice it in public, at work, or on the phone. Also undoubtably physically more noticeable.Easy access to the control buttons for my little one or to accidentally hit.The pumps can be somewhat easily detached from container.MomCozy does not have insert bags to my knowledge. Willow does, but they are so $$$Its very easy to forget to transition from stimulation to expression. All in all, the Willow might be slightly more effective suction wise, but all of the other factors make it so much harder to use. Willow pumps need excessive cleaning due to its intricate structure and design. Not to mention, when you factor the cost, ease of cleaning, and universal USB charger. Its really a horse a piece. If it wasn’t for the difficult nipple placement and cleaning I would choose Willow for a more effective and consistent pump. If you produce more than 4 oz on each side the MomCozy does seem to hold more and is easier to take off and on.Willow customer service and warranties are AWFUL. Honestly should be illegal for the cost. Willow also sends flanges (nipple size) that doesn’t fit something like 70% of more of women so you have to automatically buy additional parts.
