I grill and smoke a lot. The pellet grill I use comes with 4 wired probes for monitoring my cook. I cook several meats for my family at the beginning of the week. So sometimes the 4 meat probes I use with the smoker are not enough. I love the true wireless nature of these thermoters. I have also used these thermometers in the oven as well as in a fryer, no problem. They really work. The alarm on the app which communicates with the unit is awesome. I am a gadget guy, so these are right up my alley. They are little pricey, but I think they are worth it. After buying 2 individual Meater+ probes, I bought the block. Worth the buy!

I tried these while I was doing sous-vide steaks. Incredibly I was able to get a reading from the Meater+ probe while it was vacuumed in the sous-vide bag and fully submerged in a water bath!I was able to get an internal temp and water bath temp during the whole sous-vide process.I am not sure how long the probe's charge lasts, but it would be incredible if it could do a 48 hour sous-vide roast!Most of my remote probes have not lasted the year, so I'm curious to see how long the Meater+ holds up.
