A lot for the price
I shopped at a craft store to start quilling, but it was too pricey and I did not was to commit. When I saw this set and the price, it had everything I needed to get started. It was worthwhile and I am excited to get started!

Response time
I am pleased with the product. I did have a batch of one color with stains on the strips. I let them know and I immediately received a new box. The response time was very prompt and easy.

AWESOME
My kid decided to enter a quilling project for Beta club convention. She had never done quilling. Nobody has time to be cutting a million strips of paper. This kit had almost every thing needed. She won 1st place at state convention and will now be taking her project to national convention to compete. It turned out so amazing. The colors of paper were gorgeous and all the tools were easy to use. A+++

A complete set that is great for beginners
This quilling set has everything a beginner needs to get started quilling except for the white glue (craft or something simple like school glue works perfectly). In addition to paper strips in a multitude of colors, there's stencils, quilling tools, pins, and a cork board. Unfortunately, the pins left an imprint on some of the quilling paper. I think it should be OK, if you just use the other side up, but worse case is that those papers will need to be thrown away. Overall, this is a great set for a beginner and a great value.

Full spectrum of colors with lots of useful tools
Quillery is the art of coiling and shaping thin strips of paper to make dimensional images. I have seen it used for greeting cards, accenting framed pictures, earrings and other versatile applications. It’s been years since I got into quilling, and I recently decided it would be neat to try it again. Imagine my surprise to find this wonderful set! This kit has several strips of just about every shade of basic colors you can imagine. There are also scissors to trim the paper, tweezers to hold the coils, patterns on corkboard to shape them, and pins to hold them in place. Another pattern sheet gives you ideas of how to shape flowers and greenery. A cute little gingerbread-shaped fellow helps you make uniformly shaped circles. There’s a little glue bottle with a very precise tip to apply adhesive to precisely where you want it. The silicone cap is held onto the bottle with a little loop and strap. I didn’t have much use for the awl enclosed, but the coiling tool with the slot to hold the paper while you twirl it was amazing!I really had a lot of fun making stuff with this set. Now I need to buy some clear spray paint or fixative to protect the coils and help them hold their shape. At just under $15 at the time of this review, it seems reasonably priced. If you are a patient person with good eyesight and eye-hand coordination, this is a great craft for those long hours you’re cooped up indoors. Due to the amount of sharp objects in this kit, though, I don’t recommend that it be used around small children.

Neat kit - Not for true beginners, though - also could be packaged better inside the box
This comes with plenty of colors and strips to get creative. The tools are neat – especially the little plastic corkboard to guide your shapes. It really is neat that so much is included although having glue included would have made this a kit one you can use right away. No glue – you do get an empty glue bottle, though.NO DIRECTIONS whatsoever. So not ideal for a beginner as they will have nowhere to start from. In the listing on Amazon, they show pictures of simple direction. You could refer back to the listing. I was expecting those pictures to be included as little direction cards in the box, though – but again NO DIRECTIONS are included. There are plenty of videos online – but something should have been included.Inside should have been packed better too. Be careful when opening and taking stuff out as three pins were lose in the box – one unusable as it is VERY bent. Others were almost out of the little pinwheel too. The pins and pinwheel should have been in a little plastic bag at least. Also – the pins were apparently pushing down on the quills and the brown and yellow ones are completely messed up with indents. Hope they curl OK and I definitely know which side I will have to glue down. It looks terrible… The sharp pin tool is also just floating in the box – I would expect at least a little silicone cappy thing. So just be careful!Again – neat for what is included – but there should have been a bit more included to really make this an inclusive kit.I hope that you have found my review “helpful”. : ) Enjoy your day! : )

My very first craft was with paper so I have an affinity to that medium
I went from every child's first artistic try with papier mache to paper quilling. I love the delicate and filigree look of paper quilling and now with resin, I can make them sturdier and last longer. This is a nice beginner set and if you really like this craft, I would recommend getting a little hand-crank paper "shredder." It is similar to the ones in offices to protect security of paper documents no longer needed, but they are electric and might not be as accurate in the width as the little hand-crank ones and of course, not as inexpensive. If you have a Cricut or Silhouette machine, you can also have it cut very accurate quilling paper strips, so there's that. But first, of course, is to get this quilling kit and find out if it's a craft that captures your imagination! BTW, did you know that quilling originated during the time illuminated books were hand made, mostly by priests and nuns. The edges of illuminated boos were gold and when the book was finished and "neatened," the gold, cut edges were to beautiful to waste and the nuns began curling them into small designs. Cool, huh?

Great for beginners
When I saw the chance to try this, I jumped at the opportunity. I have seen examples of quilling online and the results are gorgeous. This set gives you everything you need as a beginner. You get several pre-cut groupings of colors and the colors go from light to dark. This certainly makes life easier since you don't have to cut your own. My only criticism is the pins. You get a wheel of sewing pins and they are not attached securely. When you open the box, be mindful that some pins may be loose in the box. Otherwise, it's a great introduction to quilling.
