The bottle dismantles in 3 sections, top screw lid, middle section with filter, and lower section. So, you fill the middle section with water, and then push into lower section, the filter creates a vacuum and forces the water through the filter, once the middle section is pushed fully into the lower section, the purified water has been forced through and ready to drink. It is a bit tricky at first, but once you get used to it, it is very easy. Very handy if you are ever camping or need drinking water in a remote place. Very good quality item, made very well, and the filter is easily unscrewed for cleaning. Once you have filled with water and the filter pushes through the purified water, you screw the lid back on, and you are ready to go.

Lovely design, sleek enough to be slipped in as a light weight,back up for water emergencies.Not used as yet.Hence missing-star.How long does lemon sterilisation last prior to use ,is it better to leave solution in for an amount of time?

Good quality bottle. I was a bit skeptical but after going on a trip and having safe water to drink I’m convinced. Will keep this with me whenever I go away just to be on the safe side.

Very basic instructions, no hints and tips in case doesn’t work (it didn’t). As soon as the inner bottle hit the unfiltered water in the outer bottle, it created a vacuum and wouldn’t go any further. Tried the website and online videos to see if there was a solution. Nothing. Waste of money.

This bottle it is incredible for that prise, I love hiking top of the mountain and everyone knows that the hardest thing to carry is water, with this bottle this problem will disappear, it is very light, you can take water from any spring, I tested it in water near my house, this filter really works, to my surprise, so now I can scoop it anywhere on the trail, I recommend it to everyone because it's really worth the price, even tap water testing better now at work,,love it already

Bit tricky to use at the start but you get the hang of it and obviously a useful thing to have when travelling. However I hadn’t used it enough times to even need to replace the filter and the cap has stopped clicking properly at the top and has started leaking all over my bag and is unusable. Lucky no valuables damaged but I expected more from an expensive bottle. Not sure if I have a defective product

I bought a Gosoit water filter bottle for a recent camping trip on Dartmoor U.K.Initially I was delighted with it, being able to filter volumes of water to top up other water bottles as well as the filter bottle itself, finding it much more practical than the filter straw we also had with us.Although requiring reasonable force, I didn’t find it difficult, as some reviews suggested. I was able to squeeze the bottle against my body, which was useful,as much of the terrain was soft and boggy with no hard surfaces.However, towards the end of day 2 of the hike I found it incredibly hard to press down to filter the water. I had it on a hard surface on the ground, and using two hands and nearly all my weight, I managed to press it enough to get water through it. The force required hurt my hands and by the end of day 3 they were quite sore. I also found I was staining my whole body to filter just one filling of water. At no time did I try to filter particularly dirty water and nothing I would not expect it to be able to tackle.So the product went from being a brilliant solution to almost unusable in just a day, which is of great concern if relying on the product for water on an extended hike.I tried blowing back through from the drinking spout, which I was able to do, but it didn’t seem to make it much/any easier. There is nothing obvious blocking it, as the wire mesh first strainer is clear.I have contacted Gosoit, and await their reply

I bought this filter bottle because I was going to Nepal for a trekking holiday. Having previously had holidays in this region I wanted to carry my own water and not wanted to buy bottled water as this has a large environmental impacted on the area. I used this filter by filling with local area running water. This was really easy to use and the water tasted great , not giving me any problems with hydration at all. Would recommend this to anyone going to different countries where water can be an issue 5*
