The picture doesn’t do him justice...so cute.
Oh my goodness... such a sweet face. I had been watching this for almost a year (hoping for a possible good deal) when the price came down about $10. That was all I needed. I ordered it immediately and I am thrilled with my purchase. Since I planned on using it as a companion to my large Santa figure I decided to dress him up a bit. I made a collar out of red nylon webbing with jingle bells all around and purchased a holly ring (like you would use around the base of a pillar candle) to place at a jaunty angle around one antler.He’s making his debut this Christmas and he looks adorable. He’s exactly what I hoped hewould be. He’s beautifully made and seems to be quite sturdy. I wouldn’t get him for a child who might want to “ride” on him but, as a decorative item, he should remain durable for years to come. The seams are nicely finished (no gaps or unevenness anywhere) and his legs keep him perfectly upright. I know he’s going to become one of my favorite Christmas pieces to bring out every year.

This deer is beautiful!
I have been looking for a few years for an almost life-size deer to use at our special Christmas dinner here at our senior citizens' event venue. Last year I had just about settled on a grapevine deer, but decided instead to keep looking. Finally, I found this beautiful creature, and now have him - and another Melissa and Doug deer, the Frolicking Fawn - in our home, just waiting for their time in the sun. This year we'll put up the tree, give ornament kits to the seniors to assemble and hang on the tree, and surround the tree with this deer (named Bucky), and his baby (named Normie). We'll add some tree branches (saved from a summer landscaping project), flock them with snow, add some ornaments and gift bags ... and I hope our result looks exactly like what I have in my head right now! If so, I'll consider it a success, and this wonderful deer will have played a big part in decorating for this special event for our senior neighbors. Thanks, Amazon, for the quick turnaround (I used Prime, of course!) of this beautiful deer and his baby!
