Ordered this for rice. The lid seals very tightly, so opening it can be a little difficult the first few times, but I am ok with that because it means it will stay fresher. The size is perfect to fit a medium bag of rice (I think it is about 5lbs). The plastic is lightweight but solid. This is perfect to organize a pantry and keep your grains fresher longer.

I have to admit that when I first organized my pantry I bought OXO containers. They were highly rated and said to be airtight. I didn’t like them mostly because they are NOT airtight. I have now replaced everything with PrepWorks and I’m so happy I did. These are truly airtight! I feel like they also look better. I purchased stick on labels to go with all the containers and they look beautiful. I even have one I use for coffee! These are sturdy, stylish, stackable, and airtight. Exactly what I wanted. I’ve started buying their containers for the refrigerator as well. The “berry keepers” are great, my strawberries last twice as long now! If you want the best, I highly recommend PrepWorks containers for all of your storage needs!!

I just received my grain container yesterday, put it into the dishwasher last night (had to leave it dry more, because the inside and top was still wet), and filled it with a new five-pound bag of basmati rice today. It holds exactly that five pounds and not one grain more, which is perfectly fine for me.The other reviews were correct that the airtight seal is very strong! It might not be a good fit for everyone, and I’ll probably have days where it’s really hard for me to open it, but I knew that going in. We don’t have weevils or anything, but better safe than sorry.The size is good, not too tall nor too wide, so I can grab it with one hand, and I like that it’s see-through plastic. The recipe holder on top is a nice touch, and is strong enough for index card or similar.Overall a good product that does exactly what it says, for a reasonable price.As always, if an issue comes up in the future, I’ll update here.

Prepworks by Progressive is a great product. I have all the different sizes. I put labels on them and now my shelf looks neat and tidy.

The containers are well made with sturdy lids that have tight seals and clasps. Also, the scoop has a measuring line which is helpful for precise measurements. I ordered 2 more.
