My dog loves this thing...at what point should i replace or toss out?

My 11 month old golden retriever eat deer antlers within a day! I was told deer antlers was one of the strongest natural bones, will this last?

Is there a way to activate the bacon smell in this product? So far, my dogs have no interest and the bone smells like plastic not bacon.

My lab is a power chewer and loves this bone but is destroying it pretty quickly. Why would Amazon refuse my review for saying that?
