Premium Leather Dog Leash, Training Lead, Heavy Duty Leash for Large/Medium/Small Dogs and Pets

The description says the leash is braided not stitched, and the answered question said the large leash was the braided one. I bought what I thought was the large leash, but it is stitched, not braided.When I bought your 100% Natural Leather Dog Leash, Training Lead, Heavy Duty Leash for Large and Medium Dogs last October the listing indicated that the leash would be braided at the top for added durability. The leash that arrived was stitched at the top and not braided. I decided not to return it because the stitching looked strong and I needed the leash right away. Yesterday we were walking our dog and my husband handed the leash off to me so he could tie his shoe. I looked at the handle and saw that the stitching was almost completely gone and the handle "loop" was literally hanging by a thread. We were near a busy road and, while not very large or rambunctious, our dog is young and impulsive. My husband hadn't noticed the deterioration of the stitching, and if he hadn't handed the leash to me when he did it would likely have broken the next time the dog pulled on it. This leash did not hold up and its lack of durability could have allowed a devastating accident.

I have had this leash for 3 years and only used it occasionally because of a preference for a retractable leash. The hand loop stitching has come loose, which makes it ineffective. I have attempted to find an email for the company but can not find one. I would like to contact them to see if the issue is part of the warranty. I do hope they read this and contact me.

I used this a show leash in AKC events, not an everyday leash so it didn't see much action. My dog is a golden retriever and only weighs 55 pounds. She pulled hard one time on this leash and the clasp broke where it connects to the leash. Luckily my dog returned once she noticed the leash broke. I snapped the clasp back together and it will function, but I will not use this leash outside again as the slightest pull breaks the leash.

The leash seems like a good quality and with my 45lb Cattle Dog I need a strong leash but the clasp on this is REALLY BIG! It's 5" long by 2" wide and very heavy, it actually weighs more than the leather part of the leash. When the description said "heavy duty" I guess I thought it meant the leather was thicker. I love the fact that it's made in the USA but it has to go back.

Clasp is a little too heavy for our use -- it pulls the attachment point of the collar down to the dog's chest, or bangs against his shoulder.

This is a strong leash and made in the USA. I use this lease for a big dog and I can control him very well. The leash seems to be well made and sturdy

Could use improvement in appearance. Hardware is not top-notch. I would not consider this the best option for a training lead. the lead has a lot of stretch. Good for a well-behaved / well-trained dog.

I've had this leash for months- use it on my 25lb dachshund mutt multiple times a day, even in the rain, and it still literally looks brand new. Durable, well-made leash! The hardware's been great. Love that it's USA-made!
