I bought this from the website, without being able to see all of the pages. Unfortunately, there are many days with inappropriate jokes. Had given the calendar to my husband and son who both work in Christian elementary schools. I was embarrassed to see some of the off-color entries. Would not recommend this calendar.

Just what I was looking for. Quick delivery.

Terrible.As a second grade teacher, I love these "Teacher words of wisdom" or "cartoon-a-day" calendars. Something I can save and show my coworkers later that day. Something funny and interesting to have on my desk and to look at for inspiration or a little humor to get me through some rough classes. This calendar provides neither. Granted, we're only a month in, so maybe he's saving the actual jokes for later in the year, but...yikes. Most of the cartoons seem like Jonny Hawkins either was a teacher in a previous life and hated it (or had a run-in with the school board that didn't end in his favor), or never set foot inside a classroom once he graduated high school and imagines what teachers think and do based on the political cartoons he reads.Only one cartoon so far has made me crack a smile: a horse student is sitting in class where the horse teacher says "Yesterday we learned the even numbers...today we learn the odds." That's funny, clever, AND school-related. You'd think that I wouldn't have to mention it being school-related, but alas: today's comic was a kid with a stretched out neck telling his teacher that he has a "kink in [his] neck." It's school related only in that the artist drew a classroom in the background.Most of these cartoons make me a little sad. The teachers, administrators, and students in the cartoons seem generally unhappy and uncomfortable to be where they are, and I imagine this speaks more to the artist's situation than the teachers he is drawing. I love my job, and the pick-me-up calendar is bringing me down.I mean, "A" for effort, but otherwise...good grief.

As a teacher, I can honestly say this is THE WORST calendar I have ever seen. The writer should quit creating such poorly written, unfunny drivel. It's absolutely awful.
