Installed on the top of the eaves trough drain pipes to keep the birds from making a nest on top of it under the eaves. Not very noticeable either from a distance once installed. I just use a couple long zip ties around the drain pipe and each end of the spike base to hold it in place.

Flexible enough to shape but still strong and durable to last. Good value all around but if you’re short in time and want to knock it out fast consider the pre-assembled set as it is a 45-60 minute task, easy to do for certain, but tedious if you’re like me and have kids with a curious mind and short attention span...Pins aren’t sharp enough to cause injury and have hands unhindered is optimal with this, but they are a bit springy. If you don’t hear the snap when they lock in place, Do NOT let go or they will pop out and travel across the room! Basic safety glasses suggested!! It’s just not worth risking an eye-popping ER bill! ;)Overall, they meet the needs and are a good option for this job and look professional when done with patience. Oh and I used clear GE silicone as I wanted a clean look, was certain in their placement and it’s easier to mount in tight spots then using screws and threading the needle here.If you’re keeping score, 4.99 is my feel rate here. 👍👍
