It works. Doesn’t leak. Great light
I bought this and dove with it the next day. It had a seam of light near the twisting on and off light head…. Did not leak nor compromise the function. The light is bright, beam does the job in lower vis and darker dives….. also great out of the water on rainy days as just a flash light

A durable, well constructed, bright light! Best value on Amazon
An all around great light for any type of diving. I use this light for river diving and im very impressed. The hotspot is great for looking in holes, cracks, crevices and also scanning the river bottom. It's durable, well constructed and a great value. I've used lights twice this price that havent held up. The lanyard is Handy and the twist on off works good. I'm very impressed and it's the only light I will use for now on in the river

Fantastic light and I'm fussy!
This light is fantastic. I was really surprised by the weight and brightness. I have 2 lights from this company I bought in the late 1980's that have been on many dives and still work perfectly. I've bought many other small lights and have all disappointed by them all. But this light is more then I hoped.

Decent back-up for the price
I actually found this light on a beach during a night dive a few years ago and it became a backup for me. It's very durable, more so than my primary for sure. It feels like it can take a beating and live to tell the tale, which is all you need for a backup. It also has a thermal protection capability, so it won't heat itself to death if left on. It doesn't get that hit anyway, even out of water. Made in America. On the other hand, it's a dated design. It's at least a 10 year old product (not sure when mine was made). It takes 3 C batteries. Some divers prefer not to depend on chargers and prefer store-bought batteries, but I can't remember the last time i saw C batteries on a shelf. It makes 425 lumens for only 5 hours. It's a little on the heavier side and is bulky. I cannot find any color filters for this light. It only has one brightness setting and the light is turned off/on by twisting it the same way one would do for disassembly. So absentmindedly turning it off too far will open and flood the light. It also means you need two hands to turn it off/on. That's bad design. My Big Blue is smaller, half the weight with batteries installed, makes 1300 lumens from a single rechargeable battery, has 4 brightness settings plus a strobe, and claims to last 20 hours on the lowest setting, which is about the same brightness as this light's brightest (and only) setting. It turns off/on with a button, so it can be done one handed (albeit a little difficult with gloves, so some divers dislike buttons) and without almost opening the light. Maybe the most important part, there are red-colored light filters available so as not to scare away the lobsters or hurt fish's eyes, you wont have to fab one yourself or buy a low-lumen light. Yes, the Big Blue costs 3 times as much as this light, but it's almost 3 times as bright and is less than a third the size and half the weight. It's more than 3 times the light. How about this. I tried to measure overall size using water displacement. My blender pitcher isn't big enough to fully submerge the UK. But even without being filly submerged, it displaced three times the amount of water as the Big Blue. Being three times the size and only twice the weight means it's a lot more positively buoyant underwater, which is a bad thing. Neutral buoyancy is the goal. This light means you need to wear more weights to stay neutrally bouyant. The size and weight of this light make it less than optimal choice to carry as a backup, and its low brightness and lack of available filters make it a poor choice for a primary in 2022. On the other hand it is inexpensive and rugged. If you have lots of pocket space in your BCD to carry this as a backup, or if you camp at the beach or do casual night swimming, it's a good affordable choice.

Really nice light! Performed well.
These were a little larger than my halcyon scouts but they worked just fine at about 1/16 of the cost. I would recommend buying if you're on a budget and need a good backup light.

Bright and easy to use
Item arrived on time and worked right out of the package. It came with batteries even though the discription said no batteries so I don't know what happened there. the light seems to be powerful and bright. have not had this item in the water yet so the true test is yet to come, for lighting quality and seal ability underwater.

Great light for all. Great gift also.
Fabulously bright. Waterproof is just a bonus. Much brighter than a typical flashlight (like by a factor of 50) and it fits easily in your hand or coat pocket. Color also makes it easy to find. Every home should have one for safety and convenience. Also batteries last a long time.

Underwater kinetic light
The beam of the light in the water when it is used for spearfishing abroad is excellent.
