Pandemic Homeschool Reading is Wonderful
I bought this set for my five year old granddaughter to have read to her during the “Pandemic Homeschooling”. I read this series to my children when they were young. They loved the books. My granddaughter is loving it, too!

Stories with a moral
While this book is the second one in the Grandma's Attic bunch, it's not necessary to read In Grandma's Attic first. The book is a collection of 8-10 page chapters, each with it's own story from Grandma's youth. The stories can be read independently, apart from each other. In these stories, Grandma, or Mabel, is approximately 6 years old. She's a girl that means well in general, but is rather foolish and rushes into things without thinking, and the consequences are sure to follow. In fact, she's a bit foolish for my tastes, and sometimes my thought was that she needed a good spanking and maybe she'd think through things a bit more. But, still each of the stories has a short moral to it, and there are consequences for Mabel's impetuousness. These are Christian stories; the occasional Bible verse or prayer is mentioned. All in all, they're clean good stories. I wouldn't hand them to a child prone to getting him/herself into trouble easily, as they might be inclined to get ideas from Mabel. But otherwise, it's acceptable enjoyable reading with a moral to the story. My two older children, ages 8 and 6, enjoyed listening to me read them.

Great book!
My 7 year old and I have been reading the series at bedtime. We have really enjoyed it . It feels like you are sitting with grandma listening to her many stories while laughing and learning about character.

Meaningful stories...
Such sweet stories with a Little House on the Prairie feel. I have read through a bit of the book and I love it. I can't wait to start reading this to my 8 yr. old. She loves The Little House series so, I'm sure she will love this too. And it gently teaches lessons as well. I received this as a free download and I'm so glad I did because otherwise, I may have overlooked it all together. I'm definitely going to get the first book before reading them to my daughter.

Timeless children's stories
We already had most of the books, so this was to fill in the series. Enjoyable to follow Mabel and Sarah Jane as they learn and grow.

More Stories from Grandma's Attic Book 2
This book treated us to delightful tales "Grandma" shared with her granddaughter. I loved the Michigan farm setting for the faith-based life lessons from "Grandma's" childhood. We saw humor, mischief, and discovery related in her stories. I appreciated the time-honored truths shared in the stories. Recommended highly!

A truly lovely series
My little girl loves these stories, she's eight years old and they are such gentle and warm tales. There aren't enough books like this for children in my humble opinion!
