Excellent functionality but things to consider...
This charger has impressive functionality and versatility and represents terrific value for money. There are however a couple of things about it you need to consider:1. The leads are VERY short. 50cm or so for the DC leads and less than 100cm for the mains lead. This means that it is only practical to have it placed in the engine bay/vicinity of the battery when in use. This means that if charging is taking place in the open the vehicle bonnet will have to be closed to protect the unit from the risk of rain. Also:2. Because of the short mains supply lead, expect to have to run an extension cable to the unit wherever it is placed.3. The display 'toggles' between functions, voltage, charging current, temperature etc on a permanent basis and cannot be locked into the reading that you might primarily want to see, e.g charging current.4. If the unit is left attached to the battery and removed from the mains the unit still displays it's range of readings and will do so until it is disconnected from the battery.

For the price it’s great!
It’s fully functional, intelligent charger with nice read out. It’s a bit cheap and plasticky and I wouldn’t trust it like a ctek but then for the price where else can you do 12/24 and agm batteries for this price?

Working a treat
Used to revive a flat battery in my under-repair ride on mower 3 times now (I haven't been able to run it long enough to charge the battery via the alternator).Yes, the plug in cord (UK 3-pin to the charger) is not very long, but it is easy to use, shows the amperage, voltage, and temperature as it charges (and cycles up and down the amperage and voltage to charge it smartly). I'm trying the "repair" mode on an ancient car battery I have, just to see if it magically revives it--repair mode is an 18 hour cycle of pulsing in energy.

Been brilliant, saved my battery
Had a 3 year old campervan battery that wasn't keeping its charge due to long intervals between use. Was told needed a new battery, but at £150, decided to give this charger a go for a fraction of that price. I had only ever had a trickle charger, and didn't really think this would do any better. Anyway, used the 'repair' function to charge the battery, and its been fine since. Have also used it on a spare battery and all good. Seems more than fast enough charging. Yes, a few comments on a short lead (it is!), but an extension lead sorts that. And beware for the faint hearted, it beeps when you connect or switch it on! Makes you jump first time!! Definitely recommend.

Pretty good but some drawbacks
From the box, connect to a battery and then switch on the mains. When it's charged it switches off and shows "OFF" Does what it says on the tin.BUT I can only give 4 stars for a few drawbacks.First the manual gives no indication of use much more than my first paragraph. No information about, for instance, what the pulse mode does and how to use it.Secondly the leads are way too short. 80cm for the mains side and 50cm for the battery side. I even need an extension lead to use it on the bench. And finally, the LCD display is virtually unreadable in sunlight. Fine on the bench but awful when I connected it outside to my car.Despite these problems I'm happy with it and give it 4 stars. Time will tell if I need to amend that.By the way, look carefully at all the battery chargers on Amazon. You will find that there are many others identical to this but only the name and the price varies. I picked this one as, at the time, it was the cheapest. Beware, more money doesn't necessarily buy you a better item
