I'd love a book two! I loved following the three story's in this book, lots of adventure and life lessons.

Great book. Highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The three story threads each reveal something about family, especially what it means to be a good or bad father. I love the fact that it focuses on the characters and how they deal with their distinct situations. I don't have a major problem with the grammar issues as some reviewers do, though I don't understand the choice of using short/partial sentences with periods when commas would have been much more appropriate. I can accept it as style, mostly, but it does knock down my rating a bit because I don't think it made the impact of the stories stronger, but rather, it is distracting. Maybe the choice to write this way relates to an attempt at making the prose more readable to people who don't usually read because it is obvious that many people are reading this book because of Norman's name, with a few people saying they don't normally read much. But I'm speculating here. Overall, it's a really good book, and I will definitely read another if he writes one.

I am huge fan of Norman's and this book didn't disappoint, I loved the characters and having Norman read it to me was crazy good.

I liked the book, and being a debut I wasn’t sure what to expect. Although at first it seemed to include some superfluous detail and reads like a play in areas, I don’t mind. Overall I’d say it’s compelling and I would definitely read more from this/these authors and am looking into Frank Bill’s previous work now. There’s a lil bit of all the characters in everyone. Nicely done. Read it on an adventure.

i found myself wanting more of each story. each character is different and special, making them memorable and i could remember where we left off in each chapter. got confused here and there, but i truly hope norman keeps writing. the potential is here and the book is unforgettable

I'm a fan of the author, but wasn't sure about the book at first. I absolutely love it! I'm impressed with his ability to describe everything with such detail, and you really feel for these characters. I have read it twice now, and I hope he writes another novel!

I enjoyed reading about the different lives of the characters but would of liked a conclusion for each of them or another book following their lives.
