Someone on my cooking site recently sent a picture of a very badly burned enamel cast-iron pan and asked if anyone had any suggestions for cleaning up. Many people suggested just throwing it away because it was uncleanable, but two people recommended the Caspian stone sponges. She used it and showed the pan shiny clean. I was so impressed I decided I needed these. I can’t tell you what an incredibly good job they do on burned on grime and oil on cookware I’ve had for several years. There are several other things around my house that could use a good scrubbing and this is the product that will take care of them. I highly recommend these sponges.

I've tried a lot of scrubbing/scouring sponges and these are the best. Cleans cast iron, stainless pans, wilton grillware, ceramic baking pans with no scratching or much effort at all. Even used it on glass vases and containers with great results. Also terrific on tile - much better than those white "sponges" that disintegrate - and getting sticky stuff off of glass cooktops and my engineered stone counters.

These are advertised as something of a miracle sponge that removes baked on materials with minimal effort. They ended up being just like any other sponge. They would remove food or other materials only with a lot of effort and soap and warm water. The miracle was that people felt that the sponges were worth $8 for a package.

They work just ok; on one of my pots it scratched it a lot; my cookie sheets it did not clean at all

Got rid of stains on ceramic and enamel pots and pans that had been there for a long time. Not so great on the bottom of my Teflon pans.

The scouring pads exceeded my expectations! I had burned a favorite pan I used for soups, stews, etc, that seemed beyond saving. It was much worse than the before and after photos used to demonstrate the product. It was much easier to use than other types of scouring pads or steel wool pads. My pan is now clean and shining!

Was excited to get this product after reading the awesome reviews. Tried it on an old pan first to see if it works. Oh it cleans but it also scratched my pan up and even took off some of pan with it. Not satisfied at all. I just waisted my money because I have nothing to clean that I don't want ruined.

I was tempted to say 'No' to the question about whether the item was as "described by the seller", because it is actually BETTER than described. I even used it to remove the lacquer on a newly purchased copper saucepan that I want to USE and not just dust and look at. This product and their service is really great. It easily removed a lot of gook from the bottom of my everyday teflon pan and would have done better had I not quit when the phone rang. I'm thinking of trying another one to tackle the mineral deposits in the toilet bowl.....Really handy pads to have, and I'm adding them to my list of things never to be without (like duct tape and an aloe plant). 8 stars at least!
