This is more fashionable than a swimmer’s cap. This will cover my long hair once I put it in a ponytail and stuff it in. Material is stretchy and can cover ears and hair. Wide brim keeps my face protected from the sun. I keep my head above water and splashes don’t get my hair wet. There is the opening on top that my hair could get wet from splashes but very narrow opening. This is great when I am up to my neck deep in water. Keeps my hair clear of the water. For those who want to actually swim with it, I think it will be more sun protection for your face. I think the material will dry quickly when wet, feels like swim suit material. Easily roll up to fit in travel bags, doesn’t take up much space. Made really well. I ordered another one in a different color. I think this would be good for water aerobics. Great hat for the price. I hope this helps those who have color treated hair like me that doesn’t want chlorine touching their hair. Highly recommended.

I saw a hat like this one when I was on my cruise and I loved it so I found this one on Amazon and it seems to be just want I needed. I was looking for sun protection but also light and easy to pack when traveling on a cruise. It folds flat and weighs really nothing at all. And it is so comfortable too. Better looking then just wearing a baseball cap.

Material us thin but they should help it dry fast. Pink is very light. Comfort fit, necessarily snug. Will get more colors?, Yes.

I have super long hair and frequently wear my hair in a high ponytail or other method because I live in FL and it is too hot to have hair draped down your back all the time; plus, I work in my yard and go to the gym pretty much daily so having my hair in the way or the sun beating down in my eyes is not a great plan.This hat shades my face extremely well, it is not too tight, and I can do pretty much any updo with my hair and the way it is designed allows my hair to be up and out of the way without being squashed by a hat. It is the perfect mix! AND...it does not have cardboard in the brim so it can be rolled up, dunked in the water (I have a pool) and can easily dry and be washed without any damage. Probably the best hat style I've ever had! Perfect for me and anyone who needs shade from the sun and hair up and off your back! :-)

I am a pastey fair skinned woman who doesn’t stop burning until summer is on its last leg! I don’t really like sunblock on my face because it burns my eyes terribly. I have tried lots of hats, but this one is AWESOME!!! What I love about it is that it completely surrounds your face. It’s very comfortable and the top of it is adjustable, so if you want a pony tail out of it or even a messy bun, you can do it! If you’re like me though, I’m not styling my hair to go swimming so I just stuff my hair into the open flops at the top and cover my hair completely! I’m going to order more colors. It kept my head cool and I got it wet and it didn’t bother it. Buy one!!!!

I love that this hat accommodates sunglasses. I find with hard brimmed hats that I can't pull the hat down as far as I would like because it hits my sunglasses. This brim is soft but sturdy so it bends with the sunglasses allowing you to pull it as far down as you want to avoid sun creeping in between the brim and the top of your glasses. The part that goes on your head is a nice stretchy material and you can pull it up to cover most of your hair or you can fold it on top of itself so it's more of a traditional visor width. The material is soft and stretchy so you can pull it over your ears as well to protect them from the sun very comfortably.
