Tec 305-12 trigger broke on the third use. Inside this gun, there is a plastic piece (let's call it a link) that connects the trigger to the glue stick mover at the back of the gun. This link is made of 3 mm plastic, with the hole close to its edges. If you squeeze the trigger when the glue stick is not yet fully melted (first five minutes after the gun is turned on), this plastic link brakes.This is a common problem, apparently. It is mentioned in a video "Servicing the Tec 305-12", published on youtube by either the manufacturer or a distributor. This is described as a "user error" and the solution offered is to "buy the next gun in the range". Trying to squeeze some glue to see if the gun is ready is not uncommon, and in my opinion I'd be better served by the following solutions:1) increase the strength of the trigger link (there is enough room to make it thicker)2) provide trigger link as a replacement part (it has a number NDN080 stamped on it)In the meantime, I have 3D printed the trigger link from ABS plastic and uploaded the design to Thingiverse. It worked, but I only tried it one time so far, so a bit too early to make a conclusion.

Heats up quickly and can run through a LOT of glue sticks without any problems. Gets VERY hot. Bumped my forearm with the tip accidentally in a tight space. Left a nice scar. I’ll never forget its origin.

I tried many hot glue guns but this one is in its own category: it has a metal nozzle that is super accurate and easy to clean, the hot glue comes out as you press and stops immediately when you let go
