Colorful addition to my shoes
• I have some NFL sneakers that look like original style Keds. When I lace & tie them, they are inevitably too tight and hurt across the top of my foot. (Too loose, and my shoes feel like they'll fall off.)• These particular shoes have 6 sets of eyelets, but I decided to leave the top set open. By trial & error, dependant on the length between each pair of eyelets, and the height of my instep, I figured out I needed to use the 5 longest sets, meaning the 3 shortest ones wouldn't be used at all.• Basically, if your shoes have a smaller gap between the eyelets, use the smaller straps. If it's wider spacing, use the longer straps.• Also, If you happen to add cushioned insoles, you'll probably need to use the longer straps, in order to maintain the same space inside the shoes.• Because I was tugging & pulling the tabs so many times while trying to determine which lengths to use, I was afraid they would break & snap off. I was pleasantly surprised they remained completely intact.• I was also afraid the tabs would be too thick & uncomfortable when wearing the shoes. But surprisingly, I don't even feel them.• (P.S.: The packaging is backwards! The short straps belong at the bottom, near the toes. The longer ones, at the top.

Look good, feel good, tough to install (advice in review)
I bought 4 sets of these for 4 pair of Puma sneakers. They really add color to the white/off-white pairs and provide a comfortable but not tight fit for each shoe. Previously, I had kept shoes tied but either tied loose enough or just not laced too high so that I could always just slide the shoes on and off already. These laces provide the same function with clean lines and the added color on the whites. I run daily and am still on the fence of whether to try a set in my running shoes. I tie those tighter but still in a way to slide on and off. I think they would work but maybe feel looser and that would matter more in my running shoes than in shoes I mostly just walk around in.Of the four pairs only one had lace holes large enough that lacing them with these elastic laces was easy. The other three took real effort and about 3-5 minutes per lace (so 15-20 minutes per shoe) just using my fingers (and a small screwdriver for glasses to help prod the lace through the hole). By the last shoe (so the third that was really difficult) I thought to use the normal laces I had just removed to help install the elastic laces. I put both ends of a normal shoelace 99% through a lace hole, leaving a small loop that I then placed around the tapered end of elastic lace then pulled the normal lace the rest of the way through the hole (which took some effort) pulling the tapered end of the elastic lace through the hole with it. This was MUCH quicker and easier, though I'd warn not to pull too quickly as I did break the end of one of the elastic laces by going too quickly/pulling too hard. I would say that if your shoes take a little bit of effort to push the plastic end of your normal laces through the lace hole, then these elastic laces will take some real work to install. If your shoes have large lace holes with plenty of room to fit your normal laces into then these elastic laces will still work well and will be a breeze to install.P.S. The elastic lace that I broke was one of the green ones at the top of the off-white shoes. I just pushed a small sewing needle through the end of the lace inside the shoe and so far it has worked just as well.

Perfect for Special needs kids
I bought these for my autistic son and all the moms of his classmates were asking about them. They all bought them for their kids because at a certain age it gets harder to get shoes without shoelaces especially with kids with special needs. My suggestion is that if it’s still too hard for your kid to put the shoes on with these then remove the top one or 2 and if that doesn’t help just put every other one it helps so much more.

These are awesome!
These are great! First time trying anything like this. I bought the bright green because they were only $4 and I must say I'm very pleased with them. They were easy to put in. I just matched up the lengths and popped them in. One side is textured and the other is smooth. You could wear them either way (the smooth side does have numbers on one edge near the eyelet but no one is going to be that close to my shoe to see it. I included a close up photo of every other "lace" flipped so you can see for yourself ). Overall these are great for slip on shoes and I imagine any shoe really. I will probably get more in other colors because they work and they're inexpensive and fun.

Good
Bought for my kids in school so they didn’t have to keep tieing shoes . One broke while putting on . So far they have lasted two months . We shall see . But good product for kids or people who don’t want to tie shoes . Used on size 2 grade school shoes.

Smaller than expected
I had to use the biggest parts of thus for my daughter's shoes. The smallest two strips were too small/tight. She wears a kid's size 1.Otherwise they are cute and definitely help until we can get faster at tying shoes.

Solution for when the first one "pops out"
Reading the reviews, I noticed a few people complaining that the first one was popping out when they tried to put the shoe on. It happened to me too. The solution is to install the laces "backward". Let me explain:As you can see in the product pictures, the laces come on a cardboard shaped like a shoe. I don't know who did the design, but it's upside down!! The longer laces are at the bottom of the cardboard shoe, close to the toes. The shorter ones are at the top, closer to the ankles. IT SHOULD BE THE OPPOSITE. The longer ones should be at the top, leaving more space to put your foot in. Doing this fixed my problem.

Do not buy. They will pop right off your shoe.
Despite several reviews to contrary, these were very easy to install. They were so easy to install that the top three popped back off when my daughter tried to put her shoe on her foot. When she walked, the remaining ones popped off. They are completely useless and do no function at all. We had to return ours.

Love, but wish I could buy the specific sizes of each "lace"
These are great for slipping my shoes on and off. I have really narrow feet so anytime I'm just using shoelaces the laces are usually training on the floor and it drives me nuts. I love these and they look great, but I wish they were a little tighter towards the top. I want to get more for my other shoes but don't want them to be also too loose - does anyone know if you can get pick which of the sizes you get?

Don’t know why I put these off for so long!
Works really well. Secure and comfy. It’s nice to change my runners into convenient slip-ons. Can take a bit of trial and error to set up the right tension, and that can lead to some undignified noises and sore fingers by the time you’ve finished. The fit felt a little tight still, but they broke in nicely. Now they’re just perfect.I’ve got these in two pairs each of Nike Free RN, Adidas Solarglide, one pair of Adidas Sambas, and a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors. The laces work OKAY on Converse Chuck Taylors, since the eyelet is a bit larger, and the lace ends can pop out.

Work great and maintain a snug fit.
I originally bought these for my young son to make it easier to get his shoes on and off, but I ended up using a set on my own shoes because I constantly had laces that came untied. At first I had some trouble getting them to fit through the grommets of my shoes, but after a bit of force and realizing they're really hard to break, I had no problems getting the remaining laces onto my shoes. These are fantastic for easily slipping shoes on and off, while still keeping your shoes nice and secure on your foot when you're wearing them. When your shoes are on, these laces are constantly under pressure, so if you prefer having loose fitting shoes, these probably aren't for you, but if you like a snug fit and the convenience of never having to tie a shoe lace again, buy them. They're great!
