Nice selection
Nice little selection of wood chips, 4 pots of 90g supplied which are supplemented to wood pellets to add the different subtle smoky hints of flavour to the barbecue. Selection includes Applewood, Pecan, cherry and oak, all nice to use and suitable for all kinds of meats for bbq smoking. Was £19.99 (at the time of order) despite this being a nice little selection intended for gifting i felt this is expensive for smoking wood chips. I did like trying these out to see the differences in flavour.

Perfect sized wood chips for a small burner
The tubs of wood chips come with a double lid and the label includes details of what the chips are recommended for and flavour profile. The chips themselves are small and perfect for small smokers, they would be too small really for a BBQ and burn up too quickly. The chips are all evenly sized and not full of dust, given you tend to only use a pinch full of chips in a small smoker these tubs will last a long time and with a screw top lid should keep them air tight and lasting a long time.Smell wise from the tubs you cant really smell any big difference and they are not strongly scented from the tubs, they do however burn well and a slight difference in smoke smell on the food. I can only assume the longer the food is smoked the more distinguishable the different smoke flavours will be. If smoking on a BBQ you are better getting larger chips which burn longer and will likely be cheaper, but if you are using a small smoker these smoke well and will last a while.

Good Choice Of Woods.
These wood chips for use in smoker ovens are nicely presented in sealed, resuseable plastic pots, each clearly labelled. There is an inner liner lid in each pot to help prevent spillage. The wood chips are quite small - about 5mm - but ignite easily and burn quickly with lots of smoke. I soaked the chips first to help them to last longer. In this selection you get oak, apple, pecan and cherry wood. Apart from the cherry, the chips have very little aroma until they are burned. The flavour of the food after smoking bears no resemblance to the slight hint of the dry chips. The cherry chips have a decidedly musty smell which I didn't care for. I haven't used those yet.My smoker is a Masterbuilt and the chip chamber is quite big. After the first go I added the chips over some larger chips of the same wood and that worked well. The different woods do make an appreciably different taste to the food and it's worth experimenting to find which wood you like best with, say, fish or poultry. I'm happy with these chips and looking forward to summer.

A good selection of wood chips for smoking
This is a good selection of wood chips from Boruit. We have one of their small smokers, which only requires a small amount of wood chips to produce a lot of smoke. A teaspoon (if that) of chips is more than enough for most purposes and these come in 4 decent sized tubs. You can tell that these have no artificial scents or additives in them as they don't smell upon opening the tubs. If you close your eyes, you can't smell any difference between them. Once lit, however, there is definitely a distinctive smell between each tub.I'm looking forward to smoking variou foods and drinks with these. Helpfully, there's a recommendation for each one.My only bit of advice. Do it outside as there's A LOT of smoke produced from the nozzle, that'll otherwise stink your house out.Definitely recommended.

Smokes well and add real flavour
These wood shavings smoke really well and add lovely flavour to many foods. We have a small smoker which is good for drinks like cocktails or smoking food not being cooked. I’ve also used this on the bbq, add a small amount to tinfoil and wrap it up, poke a few holes in the foil with toothpick or fork and throw it in the bbq near the flames but not on them (although I’ve also tried on the flames and it does work well too if wrapped properly) the wood provides plenty of smoke and you can really taste the difference.

One tin opened as I took it out of the box
One of the tins was packed say that when I lifted it out of the box the lid came off and the chips split out. It was a gift so it spoiled the moment.
