Evolution of Nudity in Film With Contemporary Events
The movie starts out with contemporary headlines of allegations against media moguls, actors, anchors with Harvey Weinstein being the most notable. It asserts thatthe "Me Too" movement led to actresses having the option to appear nude without fearing the negative impact to their careers. This was an interesting premise but then marred by old stuffy men opining on the history of nudity in cinema where mostly women were nude. That was certainly a misstep. Towards the latter half of the movie, more women experts interject including Pam Grier, Mariel Hemmingway and Sean Young. From male perspective, Malcolm McDowell speaks about his endeavors. The pioneering of film go hand in hand with nudity which was present from the very begining. I was surprised that Claudette Colbert appeared nude in her earlier film. Clara Bow appeared nude in Wings, the very first film to win an Academy Award. The movie points out that Hays Code existed long before enforcement. It is unclear the rationale used to select which film and actors/actresses to highlight in this movie. Some inclusions were obvious but I thought the movie spent too much time on low budget cheap trills. The actresses that appeared in these B movies also get a lot of air time. The movie does include scenes of Julie Andrews, Kathy Bates, Helen Mirren, Mariel Hemingway, Kate Winslet, Sean Young, Julianne Moore and Sharon Stone, among many others. But, failed to mention Susan Sarandon and Nicole Kidman - two A listers who choose to appear nude in many of their movies. It also failed to mention the impact of streaming such as Game of Thrones on movie industry. Movies seem to show less nudity now with emphasis shifting to action and special affects due to streaming where nudity reigns. The impact of "Me Too" movement on the industry was not fully explored. It mentioned intimacy coordinators and legal contracts. But, it needed to more realistically explore today's impact. Can actors and actresses truly choose to not appear nude without losing a part?

A real history
A good quality production that didn't short on the nudity, as some do.It separated the examples of nudity into historical eras that were roughly devided into ten year segments, from the free wheeling early days, to the hays office to alphabet ratings to the present day when nudity seems to be in remission due to the #metoo movement. It features commentary from the actual stars that did it and how they felt about it and the legal ramifications.A satifying movie whether your interest is slightly prurient or loftilly educational.A straightforward quality production.

Not bad, not great.
Interesting to see the progression of nudity through the decades and a lot of info that was new to me. BUT, to cover the 1980s and completely omit Porky's and Revenge Of The Nerds is unforgivable

"Nudity Documentary!"
If you wanna see boobs and dicks in each film Hollywood has made. This is just for you. As some actors and actresses explain every detail of the film they were in. Great documentary.

Yes this has plenty of nudity.
This is an excellent historical piece on the use of nudity in movies from all the way back to the silent films through the more current times very well made!

Interesting documentary
I watched this twice and found it to be very interesting. There was a lot about the history of film (not just the history of nudity in film, but film itself) that I didn’t know before. Some of the excerpts of the movies they showed made me want to actually watch the actual movies. Overall, it wasn’t a bad documentary. It’s amazing how even today with #metoo there is so much gratuitous female nudity in Hollywood.

A story predominantly about young women told predominantly by old men
For a topic about mostly women's experience being nude in movies, this movie manages to include almost exclusively male perspectives. Nudity in movies represents such clear power imbalance, and this movie somehow uncannily manages to replicate this imbalance by having older white men telling this story that has been driven by women. Poorly masked male fantasy that spends more time leering than engaging with the experience of those who have been historically performing nudity in movies and often at the hands of gendered power dynamics.

A thoughtful Doc
A thoughtful doc about nudity in film and censorship. It is mainly concerned with U.S. film, but has a few international references.

Wrong zone
There was no indication in the further details or on the packaging that this was not playable in the UK, so I have no opinion about the content.
