Based on my research, GREAT company and TRUSTWORTHY product!
The media could not be loaded. As an avid fishpond lover, I could not pass up the chance order this fish protector/water conditioner from Microbe-Lift. About 25 years ago, I built a 600-gallon fishpond which I enjoy to this day. The pond is filled with Koi, Shubunkin, large Goldfish, snails, frogs, and various aquatic plants. Having had this pond for over two decades, I have literally dealt with every issue and/or crisis that a fishpond owner might face. If you also own a fishpond, then you probably know that trying to keep everything alive and thriving can be a frustrating labor or love. I think the worst experience I’ve ever had with my pond is when I put in some commercial chemicals to treat a condition that was threating the fish. These chemicals were advertised and “guaranteed” to not hurt the fish. Needless to say, the day after I added the chemicals, half of my fish had died. This is why I am EXTREMELY hesitant about what goes into my pond. I happen to live in the northern part of the United States so, as you can imagine, all of my fish are currently in hibernation under the ice. Therefore, as I also mention in the attached video, I can’t actually put this product in my pond until the water temperature stays above 50 degrees which will probably be sometime in April. I will update this review after I have actually put this product into my pond in the spring. In the meantime, as promised in the video, I spent hours researching both this product and the company that manufactures it. I, and I’m sure you will too, need to be absolutely positive that this Microbe-Lift product will not harm my fish or plants in any way before risking their lives. Here is a brief summary of my research into the company and the company behind the company. Based on all of the independent user reviews I could find, products from Microbe-Lift are considered to be the safest, most beneficial on the market today. Microbe-Lift products are manufactured by a Florida based company called Ecological Laboratories, Inc. This company is world-renowned for the quality of its naturally cultured products. All of their products contain different blends of aerobic bacteria, photosynthetic bacteria (activated by light), anaerobic bacteria, and chemosynthetic organisms. Ecological laboratories, Inc. is the only company that has been able to culture these products, in house, and, for the most part, in the actual containers in which they are sold. Ecological Laboratories can achieve this feat because the organisms only grow synergistically, representing a virtual ecosystem in a bottle. These cultures coexist and flourish and that is why they naturally work together when placed in your pond. This is also why the products have an incredible shelf life of up to 5 years. Due to the fact that all of their products are created from cultures of naturally occurring forms of micro-organisms they are all completely safe to use with all pond fish and plants, cannot be overdosed, and, if required, can be used together. Most importantly, these products are not only among the very best of their types on the market, but they are an incredible value when compared with competing products from other companies. This, along with the fact that their products have such a long shelf life, puts the Microbe-Lift products lightyears ahead of other products on the market. Based on everything I found, I feel confident that this product will only help my fish as they transition from winter to spring. As an added bonus, Microbe-Lift includes a nice measuring cap as you can see in the pictures attached to this review. Finally, keep in mind that I will be updating this review in a few months so stay tuned!

Minimizes stress on fish during water changes and helps promote protection and healing
I have had a salt water fish tank for over a decade now and a freshwater one just shy of 2 years. One of the most important aspects of aquarium maintenance is the proper, chemical balance of the water. You can mix your own salt water or get them from the local fish store; you can also treat your own tap water for freshwater tanks. You should only change about 20% of water each time. The process is simple -- pour that amount into a clean container, then pour CONDITIONED/TREATED water back in. You can add chemicals to condition the water or simply leave tap water on the counter for a day for all the chlorine to evaporate. It will work either way. This method does have one flaw: it will not pick up waste material (poop and unused food) from the ground, and so you would still have to stir the gravel/flooring a bit to release all of that for the pump/filter to pick up. (Saltwater tanks do not have that issue with the proper cleaning fishes and organisms.)This stress coat promotes fish to build up their protective slime coating to help fight against disease and help injuries.

More concentrated than the other brand I've used before
I have a small 1 gallon tank and the most I ever change out is half the tank. Which means I need to measure enough to treat 1/2 gallon of water every week. The Aqueon one I bought usually has me add 5ml per 1 gallon of liquid. This brand uses 5ml for 10 gallons of water. This means that this is 10x more concentrated than the one I have been using. If I use this directly it means I'll need to dilute this to 0.5ml per half gallon. This is hard to measure so instead I made a 1:10 dilution (1 part treatment:9 parts water) and put it in my old bottle. That way I'm measuring 2.5ml per half gallon like before. (I guess I did end up learning or two in chemistry or at least remembered dilutions...)There was no instructions on the product page so I didn't realize that this was so concentrated and appears to be meant for those who have much larger tanks. I'm glad I looked at the instructions first before using otherwise I wouldn't have known. I've included a picture of the back of the bottle with the instructions for those interested.Review For:Microbe-Lift Aquatic Stress Coat and Fish Protector, Makes Tap Water Safe, Forms Multiple Layers of Fish Protection

Fish protector
Causes too many bubbles. Protects NOTHING. This company could be good. They still have a little to go. I use API products and will NEVER use anything else. I heard good things of this company. Gave this a try. No. The product makes the tank feel like greasy. No. API all the way
