Further Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman: A Humourous Novel

So much fun it should be illegal!
J.B. Lynn does it again. I dare say, the addition of the fabulous Doomsday might even make this sequel better than the original. I finished this book in record time. I simply couldn't put it down. As always, Maggie Lee and her "friends" kept me giggling late into the night. I've never had so much fun reading a series. I've downloaded every book and plan to move straight on to the next one. There are a couple of small typos about mid-way through the Kindle edition, but the story is so good I didn't even care. This series is just delightful. The kooky cast of characters are so out there and yet so very realistic. Lynn writes the unbelievable so well that you just accept it as completely plausible and don't give it a second thought. Just wonderful!I can't wait to see what Maggie and her crew get into next! I really LOVE this series. LOVE IT.

What a story!
This was a very interesting book. I liked how it worked together and how the interest it was generated . It felt plenty to think about. I would have given it 5 star except for 1 fact. I did not like the shortened name of the lizard. Every time I read God for the lizard, I read Godzilla.

Love, Love, LOVE This Series!
I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a book series more than the Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman series by JB Lynn. I'm not prone to leaving reviews, but I feel compelled to say that I love Maggie, God, Piss, Matilda, Percy, Alejandro, Mike, Benny (oh, I adore Benny!) and all of the quirky human characters that make these books so much fun. The humor is excellent, and the premise is one of a kind. How did I not hear about this series sooner? I've been blowing through them like potato chips, and am devastated that I have hit the end of the (current) books. I'm anxiously awaiting more! Thank you, Ms. Lynn!

Twist - Turn -think you’re right?
Just when I thought I had it figured out for Mags, I’m wrong and the plot takes a turn. Author JB Lynn will have you wanting for more.

Addictive
Just got one to see how it was. Ended up reading the whole series. Characters change and are added so it's not the same - same every book. They only take a couple hours each so I've been reading about one every day or two at night. Really funny and leaves off with a mystery at the end of each to get you hooked for the next one. Lots of animals involved and different enough that the characters don't get stale like with Janet Evanovich or Denise Swanson etc. I usually like Nora Roberts or Heather Graham and just like them it's fast paced but more 'cozy' and more comedy than they are.

A fun beach read!
The writing is very good, and the characters are really fun. If you like the Stephanie Plum series, this is quite similar, though I actually found this even more enjoyable. It's like Stephanie Plum meets Doctor Doolittle - this has a similar 'girl next door' protagonist who falls into a job that she doesn't know much about, but end up doing fairly well at (mostly accidentally, as Ms. Plum does). But I found it more enjoyable because of the odd relationship she has with her niece's lizard and some other animals she meets along the way. This is a fun, enjoyable story with quirky characters, but I wish there was a little more variation in plot and additional character growth along the way.

Great Read
As usual JB Lynn succeeds in this second book continuing the storyline of the escapades of Maggie, the neurotic hit woman,Godzilla,a pet lizard, and DeeDee/Doomsday her dog. The best part is that Mag can understand the animals and Godzilla is even her wing man on hits she does for a mob boss. Even though it sounds corny it is so well written that once you pick up the book you can not put it down! It gives you murder, assassin's, comedy, and mastery with lovable characters. What more could you ask for!

I gave the first book of this series a ‘5’
Unfortunately this one did not live up to those standards (and I was being kind). The plot was pretty much the same but not well written. I had already purchased the 1st 4 books (which only 1 was Kindle Unlimited ) so unless the next is a whole lot better, I won’t be reading anymore and there are 30+ more.

Talking pets 👍
I'm really enjoying this series. The characters are all well thought out and the tal,ing pets -Godzilla in particular- are very funny. I like that there are threads in the narrative that are still to be resolved and there is low level tension between the main protagonists throughout.

Quirky and fun!
Was pleasantly surprised as I didn't really know what to expect but it is a thoroughly enjoyable, quirky read. It won't challenge your intellect any but for a quick, fun read you can't go wrong. I've already bought the next one ready for when I need to escape from the daily grind. I'm not one for sci-fi or fantasy but there's something about talking animals that I just love - don't know why but the sarky anole makes this worth reading. Enjoy!

Just LOVE this series
Just LOVE this series. Characters are well rounded and the mystery is great, but so very funny to go with it! I love this series because it feels like going back to a place where I know and love all the people(and animals!) there.
