May not be entirely manufactureer's fault
I was really looking forward to getting this item and actually wanted to like it, however...Package arrived on time, but upon opening it and trying things out, the lid to the pot would not seat as it should. Now, either it had been knocked out of round by the delivery service or it was made out-of-round at the factory. In any case the top would not stay on the pot. While it was possible to force the lid into the rim (being a glass lid...not exactly a good idea) the tension from the pot being out-of-round caused the lid to pop up.That said, it must be noted that the pot was not shipped within its own box but was simply placed loose in the shipping box with air-paks cushioning only one end; thereby leaving the pot unprotected from drops and kicks during transit. So it is possible (perhaps even likely) that the damage to the pot could have occurred in transit. No real way of knowing, however.Just another classic case of getting what you pay for. Buy a $30+ pot and, without proper care in packing, it will most likely suffer damage. In the end I opted for the more high-end stuff (All-Clad) which, despite being 3 times the cost of the Rachel Ray product, will likely serve well for life. This is not to say that the Rachel Ray stockpot isn't a good product, it's just not a particularly great one either.

Warped
About 10 years ago I had some Rachel Ray cookware that I loved and used for several years. That's one of the reasons I chose her brand this time. When I got my first look at this pan, I thought it was quite thin and worried that it might not hold heat very well. Although I know not to set a hot pan in a cold sink, somehow this pan warped rather badly and is now next to useless. I don't know how or when it warped, but since a warped pan won't work on a glass cooktop, I have ordered a new pan of a different brand.Good points: the bottom fits my 9" burner; it's pretty; it's easy for an 80-year-old lady to lift when full, and the lid fits well.

bends easily
ordered extra 16 quart pan with a full set received it it was bent so I sent it back. received the full set of pans taking them out of the box noticed the 16 quart pan in that box is bent also they charge 39.99 for the large pan you would think it would be better quality they look nice but not well made.

Excellent 6 quart pot
The 6qt. Rachael Ray pot is great. I have an electric smooth glass top and the pot stays in place. No sliding or shimmering. The bottom of the pot is well made. The inside color is very pale gray . This makes it very easy to see inside the pot. I bought red and love the color. Also on the bottom of the pot it is printed 6 quarts so you don't have to guess what size the pot is. This is the first pot I purchased in Rachael Ray products and love it. I would highly recommend this product to everyone.
