I bought this molecular model kit for my girlfriend. She’s taking an organic chemistry class and is always telling me how difficult the class is to visualize. Without a biochemistry model kit, she’s struggling to see the molecules spatially. I know when I took my biology class, I was hopelessly trying to put the pieces together in my head! Trying to replicate a 3d ball and stick model in your head will be ineffective. DON’T MAKE MY MISTAKE! BUY THIS ORGANIC CHEMISTRY MODEL KIT! A geometric shape is a lot more clear to work with. It’s accessible and dampens an already difficult class. Organic chemistry is a tough subject unless you understand the molecules at a atomic and molecular level. Recreating it with the chemistry model set doesn’t solve the problem, but put you at a big ADVANTAGE. It gets you one step closer to understanding why these bonds work, or why this molecule acts this way.My girlfriend loves the gift! She’s already me telling how much time it is saving her! She’s understanding quicker and actually enjoy it! I 100% recommend this molecular model set! What a great price too! Everyone else is asking a laughable price. The quality is not diminished either. I got this set three days ago, and I’ve been using it everyday! It is a great organic chemistry molecular model kit. The molecular model set is excellent for visualizing all the different molecules I’ve required to organic for my organic chemistry class. You can rotate the atoms, break it up again, and put it back together in the form of a ball and stick model. The chemistry kit is allowing me to visualize 3d models to get a strong grasp of the underlying biochemistry that is occurring. Without it, I am just memorizing and regurgitating the material from a textbook, and not understanding what one molecule acts a certain way or bonds a certain.Overall, I’ve very please! It’s at such an affordable price. My school’s store is charging me like double for less pieces! It’s outrageous. 240 pieces is more than enough! It’s helping me a lot. All my friends are asking where I got one. They’re noticing the impact it’s having. You shouldn’t go without one! If you are in a chemistry, whether organic or inorganic, or any biology class, get this molecular model kit! It’s a win-win situation.Plus their customer service has been wonderful! The material is top notch, and easy to break apart. This organic chemistry model kit is a winner!

I’m in organic chemistry this semester. With organic II scheduled for next semester. I wish I had purchased this set a year ago for general chem I and II. The set is everything I would have expected it to be. The pieces go together tight enough to hold together but not so much so that you would damage the set trying to get it put together. Could have used a few more oxygens, but it has as many as any other sets you’re going to find. The case doesn’t close the greatest but only because it’s not quite big enough. You would really have to organize it to get the pieces in and snap the lid shut. If I have a molecule assembled (leaving those pieces out) it closes great. Overall I give this set a 5. It’s a really nice set for the money. I don’t regret purchasing it. If fact, I’m still as excited about having it as I was the day I got it. Delivery was a day early. So that is a plus as well.

I needed this kit for an organic chemistry class in college, so I used it for about half of a semester. It can be pretty difficult to put the pieces together or take them apart. Maybe it would get easier with a lot more use over time, but if you need a kit for the long term, I would recommend one that won't kill your hands. If it's just for a semester, it's a good deal and worked fine for a beginner organic chemistry class. Sometimes I didn't have enough of the red or white, but just one model or a small one at a time works.

These were specifically request by our school teacher so you know they have to be good!

Extremely simplistic kit that is well organized with the individual pieces all in bags so they don’t cross into one another’s tray. My University bookstore had a similar kit for $11 more and this is the exact same one from a different brand that sufficed my course requirements for Chemistry. Extremely easy to assemble and take apart, I’d highly recommend this to anyone studying sciences in High school or higher education.

The container isn't very sturdy and the lid doesn't stay on very well, but that isn't a big deal to me. Just annoying when trying to transport in a backpack. Serves its purpose and easy to disconnect. Lots of atoms and bonds. The pieces themselves are good quality. I like the label on the inside of the lid.
