Some years ago there used to be a very heavy thread called Aunt Lydia’s that was the toughest thread going. Most threads today are great to hem Grammies nightee but can’t hold up under any real load.I was almost despairing of every finding a thread that would hold up on suspender buttons and not be easily cut off by the suspenders themselves. But this stuff does the trick - it’s tough!!

A great, quality thread for so many purposes.

The quality of the thread is good. Durable, sturdy. The only problem with the order was that they gave me 2 of the same color when the order and package clearly states it should be one of each color (Black + White). It's not an issue for me as I was planning on purchasing more thread in bulk but wanted to address the reason why I only gave 4 stars instead 5.

Exactly what I was looking for! This thread is a bit heavier than regular thread which I couldn't find at the store, so I took a chance and ordered it without "Feeling" the thread, and it was perfect. Thanks plus, I got two spools for the price of one!

Nothing special, it sews!

We had a demonstration of colonial toys for 5th graders and made kits of buttons and this thread to make whirligigs. We needed a strong thread and this worked well. THe kids had fun making their own toy.

Thread is good quality and of strength that will hold buttons well.

If you are in need of some sturdy, durable and fashionable thread, this brand is simply the best! The threads are thick but thin so you can use them almost in any craft project. I especially like having the black and white threads because you never know when a good basic is needed!
