Very pleased with this kettle
Very pleased with this kettle. This kettle is not welded at the bottom. Every kettle I have ever owned with bottom welding no matter how expensive eventually leaked. The worst part is before they leak your water is mixing with the sealant used. And after reading reviews of other kettles with thermometers that steam up and are not accurate and not adjustable I made the right choice of purchasing a kettle that does just one thing and does it well. This boils water and boils it well. I do have an instant thermometer That I can use if needed which I don't more than once or twice. I appreciate a good cup of coffee but I have no time for coffee snobs. I live at sea level where water boils at roughly 212 degrees. Turn the pot off and let it sit for a minute or so till it cools to between 200 to 205 degrees. I actually do not heat the water in this pot...I'm absent minded and need a tea kettle whistle to remind me that I forgot that I put water on the stove just a few minutes prior. I pour the water from the tea kettle into this pot and appreciate the precision of a very controllable slow pour. This kettle has a fantastic warranty but I feel not heating the water in the pot it will last forever. The lid is not a tight fit and It shouldn't be. A forgotten tight fitting lid can burst off while boiling under pressure. Lids should be held on with thumb or opposite hand while pouring at an extreme angle. It's common sense... Just like keeping the 3 steam release holes on the lid in the front by the spout... not in the back under your pouring hand. Comment if you like I wont read it. Have a nice day

Use it every day
Great kettle for making pourover coffee. However it's not ideal for the stove. It doesn't indicate when water is boiling like a traditional kettle, and it boils over really easily. You have to keep your eye on it.We moved to a house with a gas range and before the water even boils, it starts spraying out of the spout. We ended up buying an electric kettle to boil the water, which we then pour into this kettle. Perhaps you could cut out the middleman and just buy one of those electric kettles that has the gooseneck built in.

A Triumph!
I'm a recent "pour over" convert and find that method produces the best coffee I've ever made - but it all starts with this kettle. After becoming frustrated with the inconstancy of my French Press and the alarmingly consistent muddiness, I began making my own pour over with the cheap $4 plastic “pour over” cup by Melita (you know the one) and a paper filter. It was excruciating without the proper goose neck kettle and with the flavor particles clogging the paper filters after the first water induction.I knew my pour over conversion would not be complete without a proper kettle, and based on price and reviews here, The Triumphant Chef came into my life and made everything work like a charm. What's there to say? It's well made, nice looking, and works great - I use it with The Coffee Gator which is another great piece of affordable equipment and combined it makes the best coffee I've ever produced.Highly recommend this and the company that made it - they are very hands on and checked back with me consistently to assure I was satisfied. Service and something that works for a great price - as I wrote, "What's there to say?" Get this!

Great Value, Funny Taste Occasionally
Great kettle so far, but one week into use and it randomly gives off a very metallic/chemical taste. Sometimes there’s no funky taste, but sometimes it’s strong. I dumped out a carefully brewed cup of coffee the other day because it tasted too strongly of chemicals. Now I’m drinking a pot of tea and it tastes strongly of metal and chemicals again. But sometimes it has no funny flavor. I can’t understand it. I hope it goes away with time, but it’s a great value pot otherwise and I love that the handle doesn’t get too hot, and the spout makes such a precise pour. I was looking in Walmart for a pot and they were all flimsy and terrible, and the nicest one was $20, which was what this was prices at after a $5 discou t.

Pleasing Practical Perfect Pouring Pot
Perfect little kettle to boil water in; for the 2 1/4 cups of water I use every morning it is as fast as my microwave oven. It is well made with no rolled seams to leak and the spout is welded so cleanly it looks like it grew out of the pot. I turned my busted coffee maker into a pour-over coffee maker... It actually works better because the water I use is hotter than the coffee maker used to produce. I had no problem with the lid falling off as the angle to empty it won't let it, unless you tipped it up more than necessary. You get what you pay for with this pot. I heat it up on an electric stove and I make sure the handle is not over the burner so it doesn't get hot. Very happy with this baby.

Super Awsome Kettle Great Design
I’ve researched a lot of kettles before buying and I’m so happy with this one I’ll explain.... best feature is that the bottom of the kettle is seamless and the seem folds inward at the top giving it a great look. I think it pours excellent the lid fits perfect not to snug or lose I can poor with just one hand. Boils up nice on my coil stove top. The handle and lid handle do not get hot, water doesn’t boil out the spout. Makes a great cup of coffee and for the price you can’t go wrong !!!!! The only other ones I would consider is Takahiro but pricy and not sure if handle get hot or the Oval Ware but I didn’t care for the ring at the top of the kettle

Best pour over coffee kettle
Lightweight and fast at boiling water. I like the spout for accurate pouring for pour over coffee, looks sleek and more expensive than it should be. I've been using it for months, no sign of rust. Some people may complain they don't know when the water gets hot with this kettle, but you do see steam coming out after a few minutes, so just keep an eye out. Would highly recommend for the price point and ease of use.
