Really are waterproof
I work outside where I need durable shoes that can withstand the elements. I have literally stepped fully into puddles, been in rain, and had dirt fall on them, and they really are waterproof after 2 months in. The tread gives a lot of feet support, and they also brush dirt off super easily. I haven’t had to clean them at all since dirt basically just comes off once you walk in them enough. They also are an attractive looking shoe that I have used casually for hiking, and have gotten compliments on. My only complaint, which is likely due to my own feet size difference, is the right feels a tad tighter than the left at the toe and the ankle. There also has been some chafing already on the inside of the shoe at the heel and toe area, but I use them every day so that’s understandable. Overall I am really satisfied with the quality for this price, it didn’t break the bank for a good shoe.

Comfortable
I wear these shoes working around the house and so far they’ve handled the abuseThey offer good ankle support and tractionThe water proof aspect is great because I usually work fields in the morning when the dew is still on the ground and the one thing I cannot tolerate is wet feetI’d definitely buy again

My husband loves them
We hike over 2 miles most mornings. He says these are very comfortable and support his ankles well. So far they have about 50 miles on them and still appear new with no issues.

Hot
OMG these are hot. I mean Merrell are hot CCP garbage now, but at least your feet don't actually melt. These could be used to melt lead. Arctic use only!

Excellent shoe very lightweight
I had a pair of boots i got from Bass Pro shop (inexpensive store brand) which i found too heavy to the point it made my feet hurt. So glad i bought these what a difference! Much lighter and well made! Thank goodness!

If you have a fitting problem, going up next size may not be the solution!
There is enough said about how brilliant these boots are, and I agree especially being one of the lightest light hiking boots on the market. Therefore this review title on a not common subject. On the photo, the mens grey black (UK 6) next to womens khaki like (UK7). For me the 6 is tiny, perhaps a 1 / 6 size small? Therefore my longer foot’s smallest toe is being wedged in, everything fits perfectly, but still 6 is a no go for me! There is no point going up 1 / 2 size in mens as that would make it too large! I ordered a women’s 7 as research online indicates a full size difference between men and womens, also in addition, the female foot whilst overall narrower than the male foot, the forefoot part in girls widens / diverges than boys foot.Well this turns out to resolve the smallest toe space problem on the longer foot and although the 7 is tiny, perhaps 1 / 6 larger (1 /2 size divided by 3!) (see the photo, it is a bit longer), the fit is good enough to use. Therefore any man out there with the problems of where their regular size is fractionally not fitting in some parts, but cannot be solved by going up the next size up in mens versions, try the equivalent womens (in this brand model is 1 size up) version. Also due to anatomical differences, the mens version here has lesser ankle support and weighs more than the women's equivalent -- being the major contrast. (advantage or disadvantage depends on your body weight and intended use?).For me so far, i have not encountered any snags with using women's equivalent as long as the fit is satisfactory, If i had choice, i would have wanted to stay with mens 6 as the lesser ankle support (lower cut than the womens) offers more freedom of movement, but this is offset by the lower weight of the women's 7.This review for blokes fitting advice, i will post a similar one on the womens!

Reliable shoes
We have purchased many different pairs of Columbia waterproof shoes and boots over the last few years. They have all been excellent quality and most importantly if it says waterproof they actually are waterproof. They have been tried and tested by 2 teenage boys and husband in the Scottish Highlands through rain, sleet and snow, jumping in puddles and crossing many burns or even stepping into a river or loch. We highly recommend Columbia shoes to all our friends and family on a regular basis. This pair did not disappoint!

Brilliant boots.
These boots are excellent value for the price. The fit is spot on, and they are good to go straight out of the box - no breaking in required. The sole is firm but flexible, very grippy on both smooth and irregular surfaces, and the heel gives plenty of cushion and spring. Comfortable support is also provided around the ankle - overall I am very pleased

Fantastically comfortable
Tried lots of hiking shops for boots size 10, but just ordered these in case I couldn’t find anything. Glad I did as these were lightweight and were really comfortable and I have trouble with blisters on my heals. These were perfect and after a weeks hiking in the Lake District no blisters. Would recommend to anyone for the casual hiker. Durability, this will tell over time but after over a 100miles in a week up mountains and through forests still show little sign of wear.

Excellent hiking boots that didn't even need breaking in
Awesome boots, fit perfectly and didn't have to go size up or down and worked without having to break in.Used it to climb up Scafell pike and did the trick.Highly recommend the boots.
