It's amazing. I will admit that I got it out of the package and tried to use it like I saw on the video that spurred me to buy it. I failed. I was immediately disappointed because yes, these are quite pricey. Then I pulled out the little card that gives you step-by-step pictorial instructions, and oh my gosh, if you are struggling with this product after you bought it please go back and try to just follow those instructions. Patiently (yeah that's hard for me, too). You will get the results that you were sold on. On top of that, you can feel how high quality these are. If somebody had had me try these in person and asked $15 just for one, I would have bought up immediately. Luckily you get two for 16 plus tax and shipping depending on where you live. The only complaint I can submit is that they don't fit around my wrist like a normal hair tie. If you are thinner than me (an easy feat by an incredibly large margin), you may not have this complaint. Which is kind of a silly complaint anyways, brought on by 30 years of habit. I keep my spare one on a carabiner on my purse now. I have mid-range curly hair. have a lot of it but the individual strands themselves are fine and fragile. In a traditional pony with an circular tie, my pony looked thin and pathetic and from the front I look like Draco Malfoy if he had brown hair. I have struggled for years finding ponytail holders that works since yeah, it looks real thick, but also no lol. Trust me once I got this thing secured properly, I was shaking flipping and moving my head around everywhere like when I used to mosh 20 years ago and it didn't budge. If you have lost faith in online advertising like myself, take my word for it and go ahead and try these out. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, and you will love it. It will really hit home when you go to take it out, and you don't lose a handful of hair.

This product appeared to be a great idea and it is, except it doesn't work. When you "fold" the ends to secure your pony, there's not enough "room" to bend down the ends to secure it and you have to be a bodybuilder to bend the ends. It's hard to hold it in place and hold your pony AND bend the ends down. I tried to use it with only one end bent over but it pulled my hair so bad, I could hardly get it out of my hair. The material is a sticky, rubber material. I tried to send it back, Amazon said no and the seller sent me a message that I could return it but when I went through the process, it only offered USPS return and the seller wanted me to print the return label for that. I could not get the label printed. Furthermore, I'm not going drive all the way to the post office, wasting expensive gasoline, wait in line forever, just to return an item that was under $10.00 (I think it was seven dollars or so). I would literally spend that much in gas going to the post office plus that much in printer ink. The UPS drop off option is the best way to return items to Amazon. You just let the clerk scan the code sent by Amazon and that's it. No packaging, no printing labels, etc. Wouldn't it be great if the seller offered that? Now, they are sitting on my dresser. A complete waste including back and forth with Amazon and the seller trying to figure out how to return it. I guess that's why the seller makes it so hard for you to return their merchandise. You're stuck with it. Nickel and diming every customer has its perks, I guess!

Pros: comfortable and gives the illusion of a slightly fuller ponytail due to the product's width. Cons: waaayy too big for fine hair if you buy the medium. I wish I had bought the size small. The biggest issue is that the entire ponytail does not really feel "tight". Instead, it's a bit poufy at the under-side. For the price I paid, I expected perfection but it was partially my fault for not ordering the small one. The only way I could get it to hold was to fold it under as tightly as possible which creates a triangle-like shape as seen in my photos.

I have purchased about 10 of these. I love them but they don't hold up long. After about 10 uses the malleable metal in them brakes, and then they don't hold your hair. They slip out. I wish they could find a better type of metal. The concept is great. They just don't last. It gets expensive to have to keep buying new ones. I hate to stop wearing them because because I love the way they look, but I can't keep buying them and they break.

When my hairs up in a standard elastic pony tail it’s about 2-3inches thick. These did nothing for me but fall out immediately. Only recommended these for very thick haired or curly haired people.

I have fine hair, so it's not in the thick side, and it's also smoother. This didn't work for my hair type.In theory this sounds great, and looks great in images and video clips. However, real life practices not-so-much. First off getting my hair INTO the Pony-O was not easy.since the product is hard and not really maleable in all directions (aka stretchy to open); once hair was in it and I flattened it as instructed I lost the tighter pull that would keep my hair out of my face; then it didn't stay upright when I rounded the sides (as instructed), and during activities like working out in a gym it just kept sliding farther and fwrher down my head.It works a tad bit better for half ponytails, and works also if the Pony-O is rightat thr crown or your head. All in all, I give this 1 out of 5 since it doesn't even hold the hair. Unfortunately, it wasn't an Amazon direct purchase so the return is not simple, and simply not worth the hassle. I haven't used them since the first few times.

This is the first ponytail holder that actually worked for my fine hair .. went in easy, stayed in place all day and held ponytail out a ways from my head and made it look bigger

Me encanta peinarme en cola de caballo, pero, tengo muy poco cabello y sumamente fino... El efecto visual que da Pony-O hace que me sienta super con mi cabello recogido. En cuanto se me rompen (Pasa como al año de uso) encargo las siguientes. Eso sí, toma un poco de tiempo aprender a colocarlas de manera correcta, es solo cuestión de seguir el tutorial y practicar poquito.
