Only covers the first 5 frets or so
I like the cards basically. I will use them. However, I was looking for flash cards that will help me learn almost ALL the notes on the guitar. The cards cover the first 5 frets. The cards are for beginners, so probably that is why they do not cover too much of the neck. Also, the front of the card shows the notes where they fall on the staff in written music. Maybe it is helpful to show the note on the staff, but I already know where notes are on the staff, so I have to cover up the bottom of the card if I want to work on naming the notes according to fret location on the guitar. If I don't cover up the bottom of the card, it is like having the answer right there.

An absolutley great way to (re) learn the basics
Exactly what I was looking for and more.I have been away from music for years and I have completely forgotten about the music staff and what nots. And yeah, its true they do have all kinds of apps that are flashcard equivalent. But I just love the convenience of these physical cards.I love how I can mix them around to prevent a rote memory.I also love how the cards show both the note on the staff and the note on the fret board (spectacular).I love how the cards cover some basic scales and key signaturesI love how I can take out the cards that I don't need to know yet.I love how I can take out the cards of the stuff I already know.I also love how their is no judgment when I mess up and miss. Unlike my apps that grade me, or prevent me from advancing, or simply score me with their electronic smirk . . . you know what I'm talking about.Of course the apps are a great learning tool and a superior supplement to any learning program. But sometimes you just want some stress free learning and that's what the Essential Element Guitar Flash Cards provide.

Great product
I really appreciate these guitar-centric cards. I'm a guitar teacher and I use them with my young students to mix things up. They're fun and on point.

Too Large to be Handy
Great idea for reinforcing basic music reading and guitar fretboard, but not very useful in current configuration. They’re just too big to be handy. They would be much better in a 4x6 format.

The "deck" is very thorough.
Very nice. They were a bit larger than I was expecting--easy to see.

Really useful with young learners and beginners
Notes on the lines/ in the spaces are dealt with early on, I could have done with "D.C.al Fine" but can construct it from other cards in the set, there are symbols and some basic chord cards too. A nice set but I would have preferred "C" to be on the 2nd string in the 1st fret space rather than the 3rd string using the 5th fret overlap.

These should have been attached by a coil. They aren’t handy as they fall everywhere.
These aren’t handy. They fall all over the place. I don’t want a gift card as a refund. I need the money and would appreciate an aactuual credit
