Every baby different I guess. Good, but not as ideal as I'd hoped.
First off, let me say my baby is higher side of curve for both height and weight (95% for both). She's chunky in the legs, average to slightly skinny in waist. I've found that you can have the most absorbent diaper in the world, but if the fit isn't ideal, you're still going to get leaks and blowouts....I love the environmental side of this product, I won't bother duplicating the summary of these details, plenty of other reviewers have covered it.I was one of those people who would have liked cloth diapers for a better environment, but in water-starved Southern California, I had a really hard time with the amount of water I'd be using either on my own or through a service, so I have really tried to stick with limiting my environmental impact via certain disposables. I've tried Earth's Best, 7th Generation, Nature Babycare, and Bambo. Compared to the first two, I found the fit to be slightly less bulky, but not by much. It seemed similar in bulk to Bambo, but not as soft as Bambo. Definitely bulkier than Nature Babycare. Both Bambo and Nature Babycare flex more in the padding, and as a result fit her legs better. The fit on these just isn't ideal for my baby. She's supposedly on smaller side of range for 3s, being 17lbs, but these fit tight on her legs. The bulk of the padding makes it really difficult to get a good fit around her groin and crotch area (even if I try bending & rolling the padding before putting it on her). Incidentally, its also the area we have most leaks. However, I will point out I've had no "soak through" kinds of leaks whatsoever with these, so absorbency has been no issue. I've had these things stiff and bulging at the seems from fullness and never had the diaper soak through. Occasional blowouts up her back, but not constantly. I don't think I've found one yet that completely eliminates that problem (even pampers and huggies have that problem for us)...sigh. I'm learning that's about as likely as a unicorn prancing on my front lawn. It's also one of the most budget friendly of the environmentally sensitive disposables out there, it costs less than almost any others I've found, at least on amazon. Since amazon owns diapers.com now, I assume things are similar there too, but will have to look into it. The cost isn't enough to keep me loyal forever. I will likely give in and go exclusively to Bambo or NatureBabycare at some point, since their padding seems to flex better around her.

The name brands caused a terrible contact dermatitis on her bottom and were unusable
Bought these for my daughter to use on outings or when my supply of cloth nappies ran out. The name brands caused a terrible contact dermatitis on her bottom and were unusable. These diapers did not cause any irritation at all(I used Burts bees wipes). No need for messy creams. They are very absorbent and contain messes. My only problem is the closures. They don't stay reliably closed. I often times find her walking around with her diaper in her pant leg or around her ankle. This is especially a problem at night when she is rolling around in her crib. I expected to give up something by going green, but not the closure. This is why only 3 stars for us. But I will continue to buy them if I can't find another brand as reasonably priced.

Pretty good...
I love these diapers for what they are, the fact that they are more ecological. Nice stretchy tabs, neutral, yet pretty design, That being said, they're not on the same level as Huggies (not selling Huggies, it's just the other big brand that we happen to prefer) for overnight protection for our 4 month old super-soaker boy. FYI, we've done everything to make sure we're putting the diaper on properly, we have one other little girl who's out of diapers and potty trained now, we've previously tried all types of cloth diaper systems, Nature Babycare, Seventh Generation and Earth's Best diapers (never really tried Pampers or Luvs, didn't need to), our children are both tall (long legs and torso) and chunky (95th percentile +). These perform on-par with Earth's Best with the plus of being less expensive and having a nice design instead of a company logo. We use these in the daytime only, and if we have to use them at night, we can expect to have to change his diaper at least once. He usually soaks through his pajamas and everything, unless we use Huggies at night. I understand that more natural diapers just can't be like the other big brand diapers, as the difference is in the absorbent filler, which is much less toxic than the acrylic stuff the big brands use. Maybe some later technological advances will change that soon.

Good diapers, but Nature Babycare diapers are better for leakage prevention
We have been using Nature Babycare diapers, and really like them. However, my mother in law had Nurtured by Nature diapers last time we visited, and we may be converts. The Nurtured by Nature diapers have stretch in them that makes them go on and stay on a bit more snugly. We THINK (although need more time to test this theory) that up the back blowouts are more rare with Nurtured by Nature. The biggest advantage to Nature Babycare Eco-Friendly Chlorine-Free Diapers, Size 4 (22-37 Pounds), 27 Diapers (Pack of 4) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging], Pattern may vary is that they are biodegradable, which I don't think Nurtured by Nature diapers are. However, I read that most biodegradable items can't actually biodegrade in America's landfills because they are buried and don't get oxygen. Therefore, sadly it may not matter which eco-friendly diapers you get in terms of environmental impact.[UPDATE] While I still like these in terms of stretchiness and fit, I don't think they work as well as Nature Babycare Eco-Friendly Chlorine-Free Diapers, Size 3 (16-28-Pounds), 31 Diapers (Pack of 4) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging ]. We'd been using Nature Babycare for 6 months with no leaks, and last night with a Nurtured by Nature diaper my daughter woke up covered in pee. I felt terrible because she cried in the middle of the night and I didn't even think to check her diaper since we'd never had a leak before! Go with Nature Babycare.
