Perfect scissors any situation. Durability,sharp,efficient. Can cut cardboard,tape, paper…etc…..

12 inch set. Blades are very thick and I have no concern of heavier materials shifting the blades away and not cutting. I purchased these with the plan/purpose of a set of automotive set of shears. I found these to easily cut through old seat covers when re-upholstering customer seats. They also cut through wiring harness fabric wrap that tends to give new razors issues. Even heavy carpet and insulation materials are no match for TONMA fabric scissors. I am very impressed at the quality of my received set of scissors. I will update my review if I have any issues in the future. The only "issue" or concern right now is the weight, but this to be expected when buying a 12" scissors/shears. Very happy with my purchase.

I do a lot of sewing and never realized just how bad the scissors I used previously were until I got these!! They are so sharp and literally glide through any kind of fabric. They are a perfect weight and balance, which helps when I'm making long cuts. It's worth 6 stars and more. Very love it!

I purchased these shears along with the Gingher 8" shears. My objective was to compare the two and keep the ones I like best. The Tonma shears are a good product. They are a nice solid weight and well finished. They cut pretty well but did not do as well at the handle end as they did at the tip. In order to get the shears to cut at the handle end of the blade I had to torque the handles toward each other. The Gingher pair were a little lighter and had just a little better fit and finish. They also cut the entire length of the blades with no effort, right out of the box. I kept the Gingher and returned the Tonma.

After being frustrated with other dressmaker shears I now will only buy this brand: TONMA, Made in Japan and the quality shows. Heavy stainless, really sharp, cuts fast and straight, feel good in hand, a pleasure to use. Wow! Can I say again how great they are? I can definitely say that everyone and anyone who sews should have a good pair of scissors. And these are so reasonably priced! Highly recommend.
