Ok to start. Yes it’s a kit. You have to put together the door. And let me tell you this thing is heavy. And heavy = sturdy. The pieces are thick. They are nice. And ours arrived damaged by UPS. The seller responded promptly. Sent us all the pieces that were damaged and even asked if there were any more that we thought may need replaced. We had trim on our doorway … so we added a piece of thick board anchored in and then put the track anchored to that and the wall. It’s super sturdy. And super nice quality. Price point is perfect. We got quoted 2.5k for a door just like this to be built only, not even installed. I would buy this door again if I ever decided to add more. It hides my toddlers toy room and blocks the cold draft and lets light in.

This is exactly what I had in my head! The install is relatively easy, just be sure to have extra help since this door is HEAVY! And be sure to use a stud finder to locate those before you decide where to drill, if you have an option. I have metal studs in my condo and one of the bolts had to be driven thru that and that was "challenging". Also, this door hangs on the rail, so there are no wheels on the bottom, but there are guides you can screw into your floor. I am not committing to screw into my hardwood floors, but I am trying command strips at the moment to see how they hold, since it's just guiding the door so it doesn't swing. But overall, I'm so happy with my purchase! The door is gorgeous and exactly what I had in mind for my office/guest room!!p.s. a door handle is also included, but I haven't decided to add it yet. There are no pre-drilled holes for it, so I'm leaving it off at the moment.

I was on the fence about this. But couldn’t beat the price for this size.This door is fantastic! Used for my husbands office in our remodel and this door did not disappoint. This is a solid quality door.The installation took two pretty strong men about 3 hours and look tedious, but easy enough.Instructions were clear and all the parts clearly labeled. Comes with a handle that we decided not to use. Overall I’m satisfied with this purchase it’s just what we were looking for and looks great

Based on reviews I knew this was a gamble but I did it anyway because my husband did not want to DIY. It arrived damaged. I gave it two stars because if it didn't have a huge gouge in it, I'd be very happy with the product.I reached out to the seller and I'll update the review if I have a good customer service experience. Seller, if you read this please have mercy on me and just send a new part L1. I don't want to return or exchange this giant heavy door.UPDATECustomer service was responsive and shipped a replacement part to me quickly and without issue. I didn't receive it until yesterday but that was due to a weather delay out of their control. The replacement was in good condition. Assembly was simple and fast. I did it alone so it took an hour but would be faster with two people. No pictures because I still need to install it.Other reviews commented on the screw hole covers which are paper stickers. I agree that it seems cheap but I'll use them for now. At least they have the same texture as the door. Choose your hardware carefully to be sure that it can be installed without hitting the four bolts in the top frame of the door. Some of the door panels I have are dented and scuffed but the glass arrived unscathed. Just consider that it may happen if you're particular.Overall I'm happy and I recommend it. I hate barn doors but I have a tricky space. The style of this one makes the compromise less painful. Quality is on par with box stores but the price is better.

This door is awesome. Easy assembly and installation. The door is a heavy door and well soundproofed. Drawback were the wall anchors supplied. If the anchors are put into a wood backing there is no issue. The anchors are not designed to work in plain drywall, as they can not hold the weight of the door. I bought suitable anchors for drywall application and installed those. Door works as advertised. Love it.

First off, excellent customer service, quick, communicative, just top notch.Secondly, looks classy and modern. You have a choice of the look of the glass depending on what side is going to be your focal point. It is frosted glass and one side will give you a matte glass look and the other side has a gloss.. I like both sides but went with the matte look.The door was the best value that I could find, and I looked a lot. I wasn't going for the least expensive but it was priced well compared to others. Got to me quickly, install was easy and instructions were good.

I was really excited about this door until my Dad installed and says "it just barely covers the doorway." I was like how is that possible I ordered the 36 x 48. And, I did. I was sent the 30 x 48. I've contacted seller to see how they would like to handle this matter.Update: The seller responded back to my contacting and was blown off. Told me contact Amazom with my issue and to "Have a nice life" - I'm literally stunned by this comment and poor customer service. Please do not buy from this unethical and unprofessional seller.

I ordered dbl 42"doors when we assembled ,I was missing the connector accessory .I contacted Amazon and forward a msg to Arkhjem and within a few days I received the accessory part , thank you
