I had purchased a couple of these for front and back yard and they were easy to setup and worked great. On one the screen was going in and out and really couldn't see when I wanted to turn on manually. The second kept on changing the time which created issues with watering schedule. I reached out to support and they asked for pictures and Amazon order numbers which I submitted. Between Mildred and Sophia (and probably others) I was shipped replacements within a week. It's great to deal with a company that has great customer service and stands behind their product. Thank you very much

This is the second one I purchased. Have been using it for almost 4 months now and do not regret the purchase. The first one is working fine also... hence the purchase of a second one.I've read others' comments/reviews and I have not experienced anything like that from either of the units I've purchased.The setting of the timings and which zone is simple. The 'manual over-ride' is very nice and simple also.Many (many) years back I had used an 'Orbit' brand, and that one was noisy when turning on and off causing the pipes to actually make a pound sound. This one is smooth and quiet whether on the auto programmed or manual over rideI highly recommend this watering timer if you don't have an in-ground watering system.08/13/2022UPDATE - 08/30/2022:I have a problem with a valve on one of the two timers I use... it stopped working. The other valve works perfectly.I looked online for troubleshooting but nothing was similar so on a Saturday afternoon I e-mailed customer service for some input. I was surprised to receive a reply early the following day (Sunday), with a couple recommendations to try... the valve still didn't work. I replied back of the status after the recommendations and on Monday morning a reply was waiting for me that they were sorry about the problem and a replacement unit will be shipped shortly and they will e-mail me the information when it is shipped.This is very very good customer service.Even though there was an electrical (I presume) failure on the water timer, I still think these are very good water timers, and with the customer service that the company has, I think this is a great company to do business with... great product and support.

RAINPOINT Programmable sprinkler timer for garden hose connection, 2 zone, model ITV205I found this to be an excellent, easy to use product; well manufactured and sturdy and reliable, once you get comfortable with programming the unit. HOWEVER! The reviews I read concerning leakage problems with the intake connector are accurate. Even though the instructions indicate using hand-tighten only, sometimes that is not enough, and there is a human tendency to keep tightening. Even attempting to use plumbers tape around the threads may not work and (in my case) may make the problems worse. The intake connector may become out-of-round and/or the plastic threads may become damaged causing permanent leakage. I believe that the connector's plastic material is too "soft." If this one piece was made from a "stiffer" plastic, it would eliminate this issue completely. Many other garden hose connectors on the market use a harder shell. This product should be modified to use the same.

I am giving this Rainpoint sprinkler timer a 5 star due to the support I have received from the company and the unit itself. It is easy enough to navigate, simple set the time, then set your start times and stop times on the designated lines. I have used another brand ACE hardware's, and find it finicky sometimes not accepting the changes made in the moment. I ran my Rainpoint successfully for 2 season's on the 3rd I tried to start it and saw a small amount of condensation on the inside of the glass, the unit never would start again. I contacted the company, they sent easy verification, and within days I had a new Rainpoint in hand. I will take care to store the unit upright in a dry area throughout the winter to make certain no water remains inside the unit over the winter in the future.

The timer seems to work alright, but it has a fatal flaw that keeps this from doing what it’s supposed to do very well.It loses the hour on the clock. It keeps the minutes, but every other day or so, it slips by a few hours, so my drip irrigation runs at random times throughout the day, unless I catch it in time and reset the hour on the clock.I don’t have to change any other settings to get it back on track, so I don’t know why the hour slips.It also has let water through the line when it’s not supposed to, but just a little bit here and there, like the valve releases pressure every so often.I’ve had other timers that allow me to set what specific days I want it to run, but this one only allows for a choice of certain intervals (such as every other day), so I have to run it every day instead of being able to just skip my two watering days each week.The display is very sensitive to sunlight, and if the sun shines on it for even a short amount of time, the whole screen burns out and disappears until it cools off again.If it kept time, it could be okay, but it really makes it unreliable and I’m adjusting it so often, I might as well run it manually.

Easy to use and setup for the backyard. Been using it for over a year and no issues seen. We got another one for the front yard this year.
