Much better than a coolbox. It's a true good sized, low powered, quiet fridge!
First off, please note there is no separator for the partition! Still testing it's robustnes but up to now very impressed. I'm plugged into 12v. It cools at super fast speed, testing (set at 4°c), it's insulation must be great because it keeps really cool for some time. Once the temp display shows it's at 6°c, the compressor kicks back in and cools it it back down to the set temp then compressor turns off as per a real fridge (this doesn't take long at all)I had a 43 litre 12 v fridge which took up too much room and probably only fitted similar to what this will at 30 litres because of the interal design. So yes bigger than a cool box but not much if we compare a 30 litre one, bear in mind this houses a compressor, it's a true fridge. It's very quiet when running, low power usage (up to now).I tried 2 different cool boxes prior to this which I returned as they are incredibly noisy. In order to keep them properly cool (for safe food temps) they need to be plugged in permanently. Maybe cool boxes are OK for short trips but I need this for weeks away.Average cool box £90 for similar size, so this is a bargain really when a 12v fridge is around the £300 to £500 mark.I'm hoping it continues to pass it tests as up to now, great piece of kit👍* if you're struggling with the set up, just reset it as it comes with pre set factory temps and other settings which may not suit your needs

Bargain
I bought this to replace an electric cool box that doesn't have a proper compressor like this one. I gave it a test run in a 26 degree room and set at -20 which it achieved within 45 minutes. This is a proper powerful Freezer if you need it to be. I am so far delighted. The quality looks better than expected for a 50L cooler at less than £200! It is fairly quiet but does have a cooling fan which is a little louder than the compressor which you can only just hear. The fan and compressor switch off when it gets down to temperature. It easily fits the taller wine bottles (typical Provence) that don't fit in my home fridge! Two camping trips later; still delighted! We don't notice it running outside of the caravan. It is a is very efficient at cooling and is much more powerful than the absorption fridge inside the caravan. On a five hour summer trip we pre-cooled the contents to 2 degrees and it was still 4 degrees when we arrived which proves the insulation. There is one drawback. There is no drain hole and you mustn't turn the unit on its side to drain. So sponge it is. After a week of running there is a cup full of water in the bottom.

Effective portable refrigerator
This refrigerator was accurately described and it performs well. For convenience we start it off indoors on 240V, load it up and then carry it to the car boot and connect it to the car 12V. Note that the rate of cooling is independent of the power source - it's a 12V/24V machine. It keeps things cool to the temperature set. I've not yet tried - 20C, but it produced -12C without any difficulty (ambient temperature +20C) and +2C is fine for transporting fridge items, so it should work well even in hot weather. The motor which is rated at 60W is very quiet; when the difference between ambient temperature and fridge temperature is 20 degrees, the average power consumption is about 15W. There is an ECO setting, but from the physics of the thing I doubt this reduces the overall energy consumption significantly. A good piece of kit, and if it lasts a good long time (as fridges should) I will upgrade that to excellent.

Brilliant fridge
Really good fridge , plenty of room inside . Only downside is the handles aren’t the easiest to use for carrying, apart from that … excellent

Great Product
Gets nice and cold and keeps everything fresh. I plug it in the night before I need it , then plug it into the car boot to take food with me to caravan. Worth the money.

Brilliant product
This item does exactly what it says! Large capacity for storage and very sturdy. Works extremely well and much better than my original camping fridge as obviously has the capacity to freeze. Although the handles at the size are good for moving, the only improvement I would suggest is wheels on the bottom and a handle to help manoeuvre when full. It’s not silent that no noisier than my air-conditioning unit, and it’s one you can get used to. Very pleased we bought it and good value for money.

Great Value for money
These are great fridges, it bigger than you think upon arrival but they just work perfectly on mains and 12v. Gets the temp down very quickly and is almost silent while running
