Only reason for 4 stars is that I have only had these a few weeks & only worn for a few days, so do not know how they hold up over time. But, they Saved a pair of my favorite shoes! The shoes (popular brand of sneakers) originally had a very, very uncomfortable, very high arch insole with material that caused feet to sweat badly. Trimmed these to fit & now the shoes are as comfy as slippers!I've only had these for a short time, but after all day wearing for a few days, they are holding up well. Plan to buy several more for other shoes! I'll try them in boots also, but in the shoes they fit great & do not slide or bunch up at all. They are great.

I ordered two pairs of these to use in my Geisswein wool slippers since the fluff inside was worn down and bare. They are thin enough to add without adding bulk but they also provide a wonderful plush wool layer. I liked that these are made in Europe and not China. I would advise when cutting these to only cut the heel if the front fits your shoe, slipper or boot. The front of these fit my slippers perfectly and I only had to remove an inch or so from the heel to create a custom fit. The underside of this insole is a smooth sort of rubber which makes them stay in place.I wear wool insoles year round because wool adds warmth in the cold and also keeps my feet dry and cool in the summer. It's also healthier than wearing toxic synthetics.

These turned my miserable sneakers into my best. A very comfortable insole with or without socks. Drew a line around my foot put the old insole under to make sure it was long enough. I had to buy more for my other shoes.

I purchased these to replace the wool footbed of my less-than-one-year-old wool-lined Bernardo slippers. The quality of those expensive slippers is a story for a different review. As for these inserts, they haven't even lasted a month before the heel has worn down to the latex foam foundation. I wanted a thinner pile, but this is just silly. I'll admit that it kept my feet warm initially, but then I noticed my feet were having a harder time warming up again. That's when I checked the insert and noticed the disappearing wool. I like that the liner is trimmable, but the wool layer is very sparse and obviously has a short lifespan. 17 Days, to be exact.

I have a tendency towards cold feet and these keep my feet warm. I use them in my Uggs too.

First off, the wool looked like it was shedding away after the very first day. But i kept the soles in and months later they’re still in one piece and they are so good. I suffer from poor circulation so without them my feet would be purple by now. They have stopped me getting chill blains and they’re perfect for me 👍

Having used this type of insole before I was really disappointed in the size and thickness of this one compared to others. It says up to UK size 11 but it was slightly too small for 9.5 shoes, having it creep forward leaving a gap under the heel that can rub on your foot. Also the base that the wool material is fixed to is around 1mm thick and the wool soon flattens out leaving no padding for your foot.

These are really much nicer than I expected. First of all, they are absolutely massive, so I cannot imagine that they would not fit any shoe. The back rubbery, so they don't slide around, and you cut them to size to fit your own shoes. They are lovely and thick as well. Yes, I'm sure that they loft of the wool will subside after a while - it's only natural. But I still think that even when it does, they will provide a lovely cushion. And at this price, even if they do, you can always buy another pair! Highly recommended!

Bought the insoles to put in my daughters boots for extra warmth but after only two time she used it, she asked to get it out as it was cramped, then I saw it split. she also said it didnt make much difference. Did not expect this to happen and not so fast.

So far, these are excellent. Makes my wellies SOO much more comfortable and warmer. I don't know how long they'll last before they go really flat (which of course they are bound to at some point, as that's the nature of them). But first impressions are fab. Have since ordered another set for some other boots, which have made them so much more comfortable and warmer on my feet.
