Beautiful Functional Cone
I made my own cotton filters to fit this pour over cone and am loving using it. The support doesn't have a hole in it so I bought another type of cone for my husband that came with a support that sits on the cup so I use that support to drip the coffee through. That's how I solved not having the special glass gadget this was made for. I loved the idea of reusable filters and liked the look of this cone, so I got it and am glad I did. It looks cool while I'm making my coffee and works well with the filters I made. The twist guides the fabric to hold the coffee together as the water drains through it. Makes a nice cup of coffee.

Well worth the price.
For $11 bucks you can't go wrong. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I find faults in all designs (including my own), but this thing works pretty well. It would be better if it had a few more wires that create the cone basket, had a lager hole in the circular plate that makes the base of the "stand," and if it was designed so that the base of the cone sat just a little lower when nested inside the stand. All that having been said it works better than the ceramic Melitta-style filter that I was using prior to this.

not for no 4 paper
seller infers it will fit a no 4 filter. maybe it fits their help ones more like cloth, but it will NOT fit a no 4 paper filter and sits sloppily in a chemex 10 cup. its nicely made but poorly advertised about wht it is.

Very tidy and easy
I got this for use with our new Chemex with the #4 hemp filters. I really like that I can just lift it off when done brewing and sit it in its cradle. I let the grounds dry a little before dumping them into the compost, and then the filter rinses out easily.

NICE SYSTEM HOWEVER, NOT #4 FILTER SIZE, SAYS #2 RIGHT ON THE BOX!
This is exactly what I have been searching for. Have used 2 stainless steel pour over drip filters which became completely clogged and thus no longer useful. Yes, I followed all the suggestions for cleaning but they clogged up almost immediately. I love the concept of the pour over using stainless. Most coffee makers are made with plastic parts which leach toxins when used with near boiling water! Most percolators have aluminum baskets which can also leach toxic aluminum into the coffee. I used organic coffee and our own well water so purity is a priority. I love this system. My only complaint? It is NOT No. 4 filter size which was annoying to find out since I pre-purchased the filters and tore the box open so I can't return them. This seller needs to edit the information on the product page. I would have given a 5 star rating if the filter size was correctly advertised.

Simple!
I got this because the double metal filter that I had kept clogging up, no matter how much cleaning I tried. I like paper filters better anyway. I run a little bit of water over the paper filter, to make it stay in place, put in my coffee grounds, and put it in the decanter. It's a perfect solution for me! :-)
