Zojirushi SM-LA60 Zojirushi SM-LA60 Stainless Mug, 20 oz, Deep Cherry

I have the same size in the flip top. Amazingly, this new version keeps my tea even hotter. I also like the slightly wider opening, and it is easier to drink from than the flip top. I steep my tea in a tea pot, then pour it into the mug. I then pour some into a smaller (10oz Yeti like insulated mug with a slider opening top. Later in the morning, 3 to 4 hours later, I pour my second mug, and the tea is still piping hot. So I don't often drink directly from my Zojirushi mug, instead using it to keep my tea really hot, but drinking from my smaller mug which keeps the tea hotter for longer than a non-insulated mug, but nowhere near as long as the Zojirushi.

Very well constructed this brand is my favorite.

I'm returning because there is no sip function, you need to unscrew the top to use. Directions are also confusing. It may keep water cold, but I won't use it to find out.

They claim it keeps hot or cold for 10 hours but I’ve had ice water last over 20 hours. Excellent product

It is very light, that's a plus. I wonder if it's safe to pour boiling water into it because I didn't manage to figure out what it is made of inside, doesn't look like steel that's for sure. Looks kinda plastic-y.

This is yours truely, the best vacuum mug ever. The heat retention on these are soo incredible it’s nearly to the point I think it’s witchcraft... Anyway, I bought the SM-LA60 in navy and the colour of it is amazing! It literally kept my hot drink extremely hot for the whole day! And the ice in my drink after a day, was still there! Get one ASAP! My grandpa, who always wanted one, bought him a SM-LA36 which he loves.I personally think that these screw cap versions are better as it’s simpler, has less parts so it won’t break as easily, easier to wash, and keeps the heat longer than the flip open versions and I know this as I previously had the SM-SC60, which was good but was a pain in the butt to clean all the groves and crevices in the flip open mechanism.I highly recommend you get this as it’s truely the best heat retaining mug i’v ever had. I will post a chart of the comparison between the both so hopefully you can make a wise decision on which one you would prefer and have a look at the strong points or weaknesses of each bottle.

I previously used Zojirushi SM-JTE46AD but the cap on that model has very tiny crevices, even when disassembled fully, began to grow mold. This model has corrected that issue and no longer has those crevices that are difficult to reach. Also, there are only 4 pieces to the cap when fully disassembled which makes cleaning it so much easier. Every other thermos I've owned has had some crevice where liquid can reach and is hard to dry and mold forms. This thermos does not seem to have that issue. Mind you it isn't mold resistant! Like anything, this isn't a magical solution to mold, you have to care for it. Silly reviews claiming that there is a strange odor/mold are not taking care of their product properly. My preferred method to cleaning this is to boil water and pour it into the mug and close the cap and carefully turn over. I leave it for a few minutes and then pour out and the heat dries it very quickly.
