These tissue box covers are absolutely gorgeous. No doubt. But the problem is that 1) they need to be off-gassed for a considerable amount of time-preferably in a garage, as the smell is rather toxic. And 2) even after off-gassing for weeks, the smell continues to intensely permeate all of the tissues that it is covering. For this reason, I threw out two boxes of tissues without using them. I now have a plain uncovered tissue box for tissues I blow my nose with. And the third box of tissues under this cover, i am using to wipe my mouth when I eat. And even then, I make sure to hold my nose whenever the tissue approaches my face. I am hoping someday the smell will dissipate enough for me to use the tissues under this cover for their intended purpose. Until then, at least it’s pretty to look at.

I really love the shape of this! Yes, there were a few flaws but NOTHING like the toxic smell that won't seem to go away. I was hoping it would go away in a few weeks to no avail. I still can't use any kleenex that i've used under it. I can smell the box even as I approach my bathroom...................how can this even get this far in amazon IDK I'm wondering if more purchases where done in a deferent "bamboo" color then the one I ordered (white) are ok? This should be pulled from Amazon ASAP! Please don't make me lose faith AMAZON! FYI this is the FIRST time i have ever left a review........... that's how TOXIC this smells!

I read the reviews about the strong chemical smell but thought, "how bad could it be" and that I could eliminate the smell just by cleaning the tissue box. Not so. Just save yourself and don't buy this product.

There is a odor to these holders. I'm not saying its overwhelming but it is noticable. I probably will not return them hoping overtime the door will go away. If not my garage is pretty clean and they will go there.

Would have given 5 stars except for one of them had a noticeable minor small scratch on the top part, but I will keep both anyway! The other one was in perfect form! Love the color, love the size, and they add beauty to any decor. The color is very neutral! It is a true dark mahogany brown color with a slight hint of burgundy. Love it! Very classy & timeless beauty

These tissue box covers added a touch of class to my decor. I was never a fan of the print on the tissue boxes. I placed one in the living room and bedroom and gave it an immediate upgrade. I usually would not spend money on something like this, but this minor detail made a significant difference.

It looks great but really smells bad and makes the tissue smell bad also. Put mine upside down in the garage for about 8 months and now it smells fine. It took the entire 8 months! I checked in it and actually thought it was a lost cause then one day it was fine.... and it looks nice!

Color and finish are good. Would have preferred a true rectangular shape, but this one has a slight curve in the top. Also is too light weight. Extracting a tissue often moves the cover.
