Many many years ago (like over 20 -30 years) someone gave me this tea and told me I would probably not be able to get it except from an Asian restaurant, because it came from her home country. I kept one for a special day and it was early this month. So I decided to look for it again. When I found it on Amazon, I was thrilled. I love this tea, it has a slight sweet taste to it like sugar added to it. I have it at least 3 times a week now.

On a trip to San Francisco a long time ago, I walked into Chinatown from our hotel, I wanted into a shop looking for kimonos for my daughters. I purchased a box of tea called Roselle. I ordered it once more from my home. I've tried similar blends but nothing came close. Somewhere I read an ad or? about TenRen Tea. A light bulb went off in my head! That was it! Sure enough, couldn't find Roselle but the description sounded the same. Beautiful clear Rosie color, smooth rich flavor, and wonderful scent, it is there best tea I've ever had. Black tea usually Is a little bitter to me , but not this. Black tea, hibiscus, stevia. The box has 50 tea bags, Ill keep ordering this tea.

My mother started drinking this tea quite some time ago, because she's a hot tea drinker. I tried some one day when I was there, and it was pretty good. Now, I am a sweet a holic, and I need sugar in everything, but this tea is so good I did not need to add any sugar!I had moved to California and it was much easier to get because it's carried everywhere in San Francisco, and I started making cold tea in my mr. Coffee iced tea maker. I use 5 bags with a coffee filter, and let me tell you this is great! Again, I don't need any sugar, and neither did my husband, who is also a sweet a holic.It is a black tea/ hibiscus mix, so you don't have to be careful with your vitamin K levels if you are on a blood thinner, like you do with green tea. It is very easy on the stomach and good on the palate, and I could drink it all day! It can stain a China cup, but you can throw it in the dishwasher or put a drop of bleach in the water you soak it in. Just an all-around great tea!

I love this tea! I saved the bag from my honeymoon 30 years ago when I found this tea at a small Chinese tea shop in San Francisco. I found it the other day and thought maybe I can get it through Amazon as I have not been able to find it anywhere, short of going back to SanFran. Sure enough, found and received thru Amazon. This is a smooth soft tea. Not too harsh. Not spicy. Just a perfect blend of leaves.
