Too Vague
This book covers too many vehicle years and types. I can't get a clear answer for some of the simplest systems. I can't get a clear diagram for any part of the vacuum system.

Covered a critical step Chilton's omitted
Being a shade tree mechanic, I didn't want to go on my gut, and I certainly didn't wish to ago aganist the advice of the Chilton's manual. This manual showed the critical step that I felt almost surely was necessary even though Chilton's together with youtube videos, neglected. Even to this day, the youtube videos and online DIY forums and blogs still barely scrape the surface. I do not feel the wolrd can do without the Haynes series of repair manuals for quite sometime still, though it likely is a tad long overdue for all of them to be electronic and to have color photos instead of black and white and to have more crisp and vivid and higher res photos and perhaps even Haynes video series for all makes and models.

Good not great info, pictures could be better.
This manual looks dated in it's content. It could use more info especially in trouble shooting (limited info). The photos could be updated or just use drawings, some are hard to make out. A lot of the know problems with these model years could be diagnosed to help us owners, how 'bout it Ford ?

My Third Haynes Repair Manual
Have purchased this for my new auto. Had purchased two others for my last two vehicles. I am a woman who does her own oil changes, filter changes, and keeps up all fluid levels. This book helps me get to know the new vehicle and where things are located under the hood, not to do major repairs, however. I like the trouble shooting section in that problems are very clearly explained and this is helpful when I have approached my mechanic with an issue. I believe the trouble shooting section provides owners with a better understand their vehicle. Best of all in the 2010 Explorer issue there is an extensive list of Diagnostic Trouble Codes that determine what is wrong with your auto. It is explained that you can purchase your own hand-held scan tool so that you can find the problem yourself. For those that enjoy knowing about their vehicles beyond just driving them, this is a nice addition to the owners' manual provided by the dealer.

pictures are a bit grainy but it's a standard Haynes manual and will be useful I'm sure
Definitely not for sport trac versions of the Explorer, pictures are a bit grainy but it's a standard Haynes manual and will be useful I'm sure.

Was what we expected.
We have many other books like this and they never disappoint.
