This is advertised as “leakproof” and it is in fact not leakproof.

We visit San Diego and the beaches a couple of times a year and I wanted something that would be easy to take to the beach and this is great! It is leakproof (tested it by adding a good portion of water and walking around with it) and is nicely insulated. I like that it comes with a removeable insulated bottom that is easy to clean for spills, but it also keeps the backpack a little firmer on the bottom.This is a very well-made back-pack. I was surprised at the quality in every little thing. I love that it has side pockets and clips in the front to attach other things freeing up your hands when walking on the beach. I recently purchased some chairs that fold up in a small bag with handles on each end. I can now attach the chair on the bottom loops to make it more convenient to carry and not have to do muliple trips back to the car.The straps fit very nicely and comfortably on my back making it easier to have heavier items in it. They are very easy to adjust.I have started keeping this backpack in my car to have on hand for trips back and forth from the grocery store. Easy to throw in the cart and have them load my frozen/cold items in it and they stay colder till I get home (which helps living in AZ).I highly recommend this backpack!!
