Sturdy, easy to install
Product arrived and was as pictured. Used thread tape on both end of pipe to attach to wall and to attach shower head. Very easy to install. I attached a large rainfall shower head and have been using it for 6+months now with no issues. Be careful when tightening shower head attachment. I used a pair of channel lock pliers and it scratched pipe finish. Not easy to see but put towel or something around pipe before using pliers or other tools on this to protect finish

Great shower arm, and flange DOES fit over tube!
I just recently finished renovating my bathroom. We have a neo-angle corner shower with glass doors. The shower arm that came with the Moen faucet I purchased was an approximte 45-degree angle, causing water to spray directly towards the glass door. This made it very difficult to open the door with the water on (when getting in), and it also caused water to tend to leak through the seams of the glass doors, as the spray was pointed directly at the glass. This shower head allows me to direct water down, not out. Really good quality and a real nice arm.To address other reviews saying the decorative cover plate (escutcheon) does not fit over the tube, this is NOT true! The flange/plate fits over both the threads AND the tube. It even includes a rubber gasket to prevent water from getting through and ending up behind the wall. I have a thick-wall with cement board and tile, and had no issue whatsoever. Perhaps Lordear revised the product per reviews, but it's good now!

Exactly what I needed
This is all you need. It is the same as exact shower arm you need at a 1/3 of the cost. Not sure what the more expensive ones can do or look differently.

Wider Than a Regular Shower Pipe
This shower pipe looks great, and I really like the rubber gasket that holds the flange in place. One potentially important thing to note - this pipe is slightly wider than a standard shower pipe. You can see the difference if you compare photos of this pipe and others. It does make for a more substantial look. The width probably won't be a problem for anyone installing it in drywall, but when my fully-tiled shower enclosure was built 50 years ago, they mortared right up to the pipe. Luckily they left a larger gap around the pipe in the tile itself, so I just had to chisel out some of the mortar that had squeezed out behind to get the pipe to fit. The wider size also means that you have to use the flange that comes with the pipe or get one with a larger hole than the standard shower-pipe flange. Overall, when combined with a flat rainfall shower head, it's a great-looking update for a mid-century shower.
