Interesting brew result, easy to clean up
I'm using this as a replacement for paper filters for Chemex but I'm not completely sure I like the switch. I'm still experimenting with the grind size as even as slow as I'm trying to go with brewing, water just rushes through the grinds for brewing.I do like the resulting brew so far and would describe it as a mix between full immersion and pour over with like a No. 2 size Melitta. It leaves in a small amount of the oils and fine sediments but not as much as with a French Press brew. I have tried organic cotton and hemp filters and didn't care for the resulting taste. Compared to using the paper Chemex filter, it's a much oilier mouthfeel as you might imagine, however the flavors in the brew are actually similar. (Have been testing with a home-roasted Sumatra origin I'm familiar with the overall taste.)As many others have mentioned, clean up is very easy and I'm making sure to spray out the inside with the sink hose attachment to get any fine particles. I usually give any of my coffee equipment a good soak in some Cafiza which I had for an espresso machine and does an outstanding job of removing stains. That's the plan to try if brewing starts to slow down but right now, it's to work on actually slowing it down.I've changed my grind setting to almost an espresso fineness but more like the drip grind you might get at the store and that seemed to only change the brew speed slightly. I'm using a regular kettle because of laziness but for brew science testing will try a gooseneck to slow myself down on the water and be very careful not to let the level rise above the grounds and we'll see.I do compost my used grounds which is much easier using paper filter. When the brew is done you just grab the whole thing and chuck it in the "to be composted" container. With loose grounds, it's more of a challenge. I find that I end up rinsing a fair amount down the sink.

Great replacement for paper cone filters!
I write very few reviews. But this Bolio SS cone filter is fantastic! I have made my morning coffee the same way for over 35 years. All of us coffe addicts want our perfect morning cup of joe. I have used the Melita #6 cone paper filters loaded into a Thermos brand plastic cone filter holder meant to fit on top of a "thermos". The Bolio fits perfect. I have used the "gold" plated single wall filters. Those let through way to much sediment for my taste. The Bolio is a double wall design that works great. Yes, there will be some very fine sediment. If you want sediment free drip coffee use the Bolio SS filter in conjunction with the Bolio Hemp Cone Coffee Filter. This combination will produce perfect sediment free coffee and you can reuse the hemp filter hundreds of times, at least that's their claim. So anyone out there frustrated by not easily finding Melita #6 filters at a reasonable price, or you want to do the environment a favor this is the solution. I can't make any review of durability of either the Bolio SS filter or the hemp filter, we will see. But both appear well made and durable.

Good reusable filter - keep it clean to maintain the flow!
This filter works perfectly with my Hario V60 - Size 02.Just be aware that since this is a fine filter, if you are using very oily beans, it will get clogged within a few weeks. I find that if put the cone in the top rack of the dishwasher once every 1 or 2 weeks, everything keeps flowing well.Update:I have both this and the titanium version of this filter. I really liked the stainless version, but it needed to be put in the dishwasher every week or two as it would slowly get clogged with buildup. This ultimately compromised the seam and it failed. The titanium version of this filter does not have this issue - having used both, I would spend the extra few dollars for the titanium version.

Does not fit automatic coffee brewers.
This is a solidly made, well designed pour over filter. Not thin or wimpy at all. However it was suggested it would fit most cone filter automatic coffee machines and it doesn't. It is too tall for my machine's basket, preventing it from closing. I gave it to a friend who loves how it works and tastes.

Love this thing
I travel with a 22oz Tervis coffee cup. I like to make my own coffee on the road, in hotel rooms. I have a way to boil water or if the room has a coffee maker, I make a pot of just water and with this, I no longer have to use coffee filters to make pour-over coffee in the morning. This is quality made and I have been using this for three weeks now. Can't wait to get home though!

The best.
I work with a coffee roasting company and we do our fair share of brewing coffee. We primarily use Aeropress and the Bolio Stainless Steel Filter brewing methods. I have tried other brands and the Bolio No 4 is the perfect size for a 32-40 oz. carafe and offers excellent functionability whereas other steel filters clog up easily making it difficult to make a pitcher of coffee in a timely manner.

How do you clean those pores?
Initially it worked great. Over time fine sediment clogs pores. You think it’s clean but the drip rate slows. Dishwasher doesn’t seem to help much even on lowest point near the jets. Now supplementing the system with a cheap paper filter until I can figure out how best to clean. It’s made well. Craftsmanship top notch. Just hard to clean those pores.

It works well, and does not add to the landfill!
My husband is rather serious about his coffee, and we were going through paper filters like there was no tomorrow. I found this filter, and it works well to keep stray grounds out of the coffee, cleans easily and it has paid for itself already by eliminating the need to keep purchasing paper filters.

No Filter in Box
I'd like to write a review for this product, but I can't because I received the box with the stand, the little rubber plate, but NO filter. Also the Information was wrong in the listing vs. the product page. The listing says: "Bolio Stainless Steel Coffee Filter - No 2 Size - Fits Chemex, Bodum and Most 10 Cup Coffee Makers (v60)" the product page says: "Bolio Stainless Steel Coffee Filter - No 4 Size - Fits Chemex, Bodum and most 10 Cup Coffee Makers (No.4)". I'm not sure which listing is accurate, as the Box I received contained no filter. I'm cranky because I was going to use it for my coffee this morning, opened the box, and nada. And anything that gets between a non-morning person and his coffee is apt to be viewed as public enemy #1.

Metallic taste + broke/blocked in 2 months
A bit of a metallic taste when compared to normal paper filters. Get over it. Hope it gets better with time. Or you just have to get used to it.**EDIT: THE FILTER blocked after only 2 months of use and excellent care. Only rinsing under the tap.Not sure if I was unlucky or what. I will NOT buy the same.
