Worth the buy. It makes ice very fast. Granted its only about 6 cubes every 15 minutes. So recommend making a bunch and storing. However it works great and is super easy to use.

I purchased this for a camping trip in early July 2023. When I returned I decided to set this up on the counter and continue to use it, not expecting too much with performance based upon other reviews here. I have had this machine on 24/7 for 5 months (minus draining a few times to wipe out). It has never failed and continues producing perfectly shaped ice (great for my Soda Stream Bottles). Within 6 minutes I have a handful of ice.Key: Do not use tap water in these machines and expect it to have a long life. I use distilled water ONLY. Although I have not tested it's durability with tap water, I would not as the tap water here is very alkaline.

First all of these countertop ice makers are the same, they only differ in style and packaging they all make the ice the same way.The key to the fast ice is in the cube itelf,,its not like a standard cube its only about one quarter of the size of the cubes that come out of your fridge ice maker and the cubes are hollow The shape and size is similar to the thimble yer granny used to use when she sewed so the ice is made by cooling both the outside and the inside of the thimble till it freezes.It doesnt freeze hard cubes the temp is only a tad below freezing and the tray isnt cooled at all except for the cooling the ice provides. what this means is the ice is melting the instant it comes out and falls in the tray.The tray sits over the water reservoir so that the melting refills the water. You start the process by filling the water reservoir if it runs dry the icemaker shuts down automagically.You WILL notice how fast the ice melts if you xfer the tray to your home freezer...itll drip water all the way.All that noted the tray is rather small and holds about one hours worth of ice, when the tray fills icemaking is suspended. This means that if you want to make 26 lbs of ice a day as described in the stats you must be there every hour 24/7 to fill the water and empty the ice tray.The tray will hold about enough ice to fill one 16 oz glassOK so heres the final. If you use this for camping or in an RV it will probably work well for you and one other person once it gets ahead of you so to speak. do not expect it to fill your ice chest, it simply wont. If you dont have an icemaker in your fridge it does kinda beat filling the trays every time you empty them and for the price its a reasonable kitchen addition for singles or even couples. It wont make enough ice to keep your superbowl sunday party in ice, youd need about 1 per person to do that.Hopefully this answers all your questions and sets your expectations properly. Mine has been running non stop (except for when Im out or asleep) for about a week now with no issues

One of the greatest things I’ve bought. We fly though ice in this house and it’s always full with perfect bullet soft ice. I’d give 5 stars if the basket was bigger. My only gripe.
