I own a Hoover Runabout Supreme (U4269-930) that calls for a Hoover (38528-027) belt but Hoover only sells the (38528-040) in its place these belts are only 9 inches long and are too short. The belts (4571) 12 inches are a perfect fit.

It fits our Pet Pro perfectly. Now we don’t have to spend the money to buy a new one! My husband and I replaced the belt ourselves, cleaned & shined up our vacuum cleaner and it looks and works like new.

These may be the right belts, but installing them is a little more challenging than I expected. I called Hoover and a wonderful woman named Angel sent me instructions for installing the belts to avoid the nearly instant breaking I experienced. Here are the instructions from Hoover Customer Care.I will update my review after I receive new belts and install them following these instructions:1.Adjust the height adjustment on the vacuum to the lowest setting2. Make sure the brush roll pedal is in on position, the pedal would be up in the air.3. Change the belt (look in the manual for more instructions).4. Bring the unit to the upright position.5. Turn the machine recline handle to the floor.6. Step on the brush roll pedal 3 times, bring the handle back up7. Belt should be tightened.

I used to buy this type of belt at my local hardware store only thing is the didn’t have it in stock all the time. That’s how many times I have bought this same belt. This comes in a package of three. I used to use one belt every couple of weeks depending on how often we cleaned our house. It’s been over a month and it’s holding up just fine.its a little tough to install because of the heavy duty material so i recommend.
