For some reason I thought these hoops were smoothly round, but they are squared off like an embroidery hoop. I still like them, and they worked perfectly for my project (a baby mobile). They do splinter easily if imbedded with a screw or pin.

Despite no damage to packaging, one of the hoops arrived with a clean split—not cracked or damaged, actually shipped with a split. I didn’t realize until I had already used a few for a craft, so I cannot return for credit. Otherwise preset self-explanatory; you get what you’d expect, lightweight hoops, size as detailed.
