Good hat.

I needed a hat more as a costume item for a night out, so I was keeping myself to a budget. The leather quality, fit, and styling far exceeded my expectations. I am really pleased with the purchase!

I received the hat in a Amazon branded shipping bag. No box, in just a bag. The packaging was not damaged. **Just wanted to mention that the packaging, in my opinion, is not sufficient with how rough some delivery services can be on packages.**The hat came out of the packaging with the tag on the back of the hat gone. **The missing tag was obviously cut off.** I dont have pics of that because I trued up and removed what was left of the tag after seeing it.**There is a large gash on the top of the crown part of the hat. Also there is a gouge around the whole brim edge.** Most likely a manufacturing issue or defect. If I had to guess looks like the person sewing the rim of the brim used with too much pressure and the foot of the sewing machine dug a grove into the leather.The chin strap is cheap elastic string with a sinch button bead in the middle. The straps string attaches to the hat with 2 little leather tabs sewn into the head band. **Like a strap on a cheap halloween mask or hat.** This chin strap is a joke, so quickly removed the strap and cut the leather attachment tabs flush. If I want to, I can make and attach a chin strap better than the one that came with the hat. Truly a waste of materials.After all this, I'm not going to be going through a return process for this product for several reasons. I bought the hat to be a work hat. I do work such as farming, carpentry, and tend to life stock animals. It fits perfectly! It's a hat, it will keep the sun off my bald head and aesthetics come second. These flaws at the end of the day do not prevent the hat from doing it's job of being a hat. It adds a bit of character/story of how it was made, a birth mark if you will. **On a related side note, leather conditioner helped to make the gashes less noticeable.**I will give the product a 3.5 out of 5, but can't give half stars. So a rating of 4 it shall be. That's purely because of the condition of the leather in some spots of the hat, the shipping packaging the company chose, and the useless chin strap.

The media could not be loaded. Beautiful made hat. We did read the reviews before purchasing and went down a size. It Fite just about right. I'm wondering if we went down one more size if it would fit better,it doesn't feel snug.The hat came packed in a box which I'm pleased because of the reviews but it does have a crease on the top of the side of the hat. There are some scratches on it also. Thinking it was like this before packing and shipping.

I like the hat. It's as described. However, two negatives. First It's fit runs large. I have 3 other similar hats (size large) that fit much better. I think a medium would be the right size. Secondly, the hat is shipped in a plastic bag placed in a box with other items order. The result is a bent brim. The brim can be reshaped but the crease in the leather and the discoloring due to the brim being bent during shipping remain.

The hat was made very poorly. The loop for the strap to help keep it on your head, one in the correct position but the other one was almost in the front of the hat.

Love it...Love it...Love it! There isnt much more to say. I feel its perfect for me. Its my favorite thing now.

Was hoping this hat is crushable, able to store away comfortably when not in use
