Glad I purchased it. A couple of caveats
I really mulled over whether I was going to give this a four or five star rating. I finally decided on five but I have some caveats. First, I am a Paralegal/Legal Assistant for an attorney who does litigation. Entire forests have been grown to supply me with paper which I print and punch before putting on boards or in binders. I have to punch stacks of paper every day with two holes on the top. Sometimes my hand hurts at the end of the day from so much punching. I purchased this with my own money, figuring at this price point it would not be perfect but would still be helpful. First, it punches holes cleanly. When you stick a stack up to 12 sheets of paper into the slot, the sensor detects the paper and punches happen. You can punch through a stack of paper quite quickly. That is wonderful. Although it comes with a power cord, I use it with batteries because it is more convenient to be able to move it around. Here are the caveats. First, the container for the punched circles is not very big. I have to empty it regularly. On the other hand, I am probably using it more than most people. Second, the guide for the paper size seems to get knocked out of position. In fairness to the designer, I have it on my desk and I am moving stuff around a lot. It does get knocked. I finally taped a small stick to the guide which prevents it from moving. The third issue I call pilot error. I have to pay attention when I am putting the paper in the machine because the punch happens automatically. You need slide the paper in to the machine correctly to get the holes punched in the correct spots. Even with these caveats I am really happy I bought it.

Designer of this product: Be very ashamed!!
The product is so poorly designed that it leaves me speechless.(1) There is no power button to this machine. I have another electric paper hole puncher such that after you position the paper in the machine, you press a button so that the machine will punch holes. So, when I plugged in the transformer that came with the machine, the machine started up and kept running. There was no way for me to position the paper so that I would get holes punched in the paper. Then, I barely managed to yank the paper out of the machine.I can't figure out how to download to Amazon the video of what happens when I plug in the hole puncher. But here is the you tube link of what the machine did when I plugged in the transformer. Please excuse the length of the video (35 seconds), but I managed to shoot the video with one hand while my other hand plugged in the machine: [...](2) The instruction sheet doesn't tell you how to use the machine. It only tells you that:you should only punch paper with the machine, that it comes with a transformer so that you can plug it into an outlet, that if you use the transformer, you don't have to remove the batteries, that there is a paper guide that slides out the side of the punch, that if the punch pins get jammed, the machine will automatically reverse itself so that you can remove the paper.

Awesome Punch!
At work we deal with medical charts and the thousands of different reports that get punched and put into those charts. Usually I'm dealing with high volume, making a punch that does a couple of papers practically obsolete. But lately, I've had need for that very type of device. I have a Carl 100 page punch (Wonderful punch in that it eats holes for breakfast!) and the Carl 300 for those tasks that the 100 can't handle. We lovingly call the big one Xerxes! But, you are NOT supposed to use either of those punches for small jobs...enter the Master Electric 2-Hole Punch. It arrived quick, thank you Amazon, and I immediatey removed the device from it's box with the normal giddy apprehension I find I have when I get an Amazon box delivered, and lo and behold I discover the punch works with both ELECTRIC and BATTERY (4 AA's to be specific). The paper guide seems to hold it's position just fine on my device, and it eats through the required number of sheets and does so with little effort. If you read the description thoroughly, and enter into this purchase with your eyes wide open, you will not be disappointed with it. It can punch up to 10 sheets, not 20. The number 20 in the description refers to the lb of paper it will punch through to allow for the 10 sheet maximum. So TEN sheets (10) of paper that is twenty (20) lbs in thickness. All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this device. Happy punching!

Excellent, dependable
I purchased this punch for use during the 2012 presidential campaign for our campaign office. We used it heavily for two months to punch campaign fliers for 7 candidates and it never failed. I wish the company made a single hole punch but this one worked great once I figured out how to put just one punch in the paper if I rotated the paper the right way. I would recommend this punch.

Doesn't Work
This hole puncher broke after 1 month; they replaced it -- then it broke again. It was a piece of junk, and the supplier does not stand behind their product. A total waste of money. Bad company support.

just dont try to work it too hard
loved it when i first purchased it....but its been about 6 months now and i have had to disassemble it twice now because the punch holds my files hostage!small punches were fine- but it struggles to keep up with all the files i punch at work (i work for a law firm) so i am having to upgrade to a sturdier product.it really did help while i was recovering from a dislocated shoulder though- so it was worth the price.

As advertised
Purchased for my wife - an RN. She works nights and does medical chart assembly in her spare time. The punch does an excellent job - much easier than using a manual punch. Light, compact enough to easily take to/ from her work. Good battery life. No complaints.
