Hieronymus Bosch Tarot

I would probably rate this deck a 4.5 if I could, the only reason being because saying it's a tarot deck is misleading. It doesn't follow a traditional tarot system at all. HOWEVER, I would consider this the best, most well rounded, comprehensive oracle deck I've ever owned. It's an instant favorite deck. Many of the cards are in line with traditional tarot card meanings, so I would say it's "tarot-like." This is a fantastic deck for readings in regard to shadow work. If you're really trying to dig into an issue, this deck goes deep and hits hard. If you enjoy Bosch's artwork and are looking for a deck that can get down to the root of a reading in a clear "staring you right in the face" kind of way, this deck is amazing. The deck has blue gilding on the edges, and comes in a beautiful box, very nice presentation. The guidebook is fully in color and has an image of each card along with a paragraph or two length blurb for each card. The blurbs go into detail about what the deck creator sees depicted in each card image and give great insight into the intended meaning of each one. The guidebook doesn't have any spreads or anything, but I personally love the way the it's laid out, and I really appreciate the breakdown of each of the suits (considering it doesn't follow the tarot system.) There are 21 Major cards (which are similar to the usual major arcana), 7 suits (which are basically made up of aces and court cards), and a group of 7 cards at the end (which represent the 7 deadly sins.) If this deck was marketed as an in depth oracle deck, I'd give it 6 stars. It wasn't what was expected, but it also did not disappoint.

This is a beautiful deck that looks better than the photos. Everyone has their own esthetic but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. If you know and are a fan of the occult tarot and the angel tarot by Travis McHenry, you will love his newly released deck known as the Hieronymus Bosch Tarot. This tarot deck is definitely for all and especially for those who are big nerds about the Northern Renaissance works of art. Even the box is of A-grade quality! There is a metallic shine on the light blue color of the box as you can see here. And the best thing is it is also embossed with that linen-like texture that you see in some of the tarot cards. It does give a very luxurious feel to the sturdy box itself. And the front cover of the box is Bosch's famous artwork. It is the centerpiece of The Garden of Earthly Delights and what surprised me, even more, is that the box opens up like the triptych of the artwork itself. Within is a display of the full three-piece triptych of The Garden of Earthly Delights that he painted between the late 1400s to early 1500s. This Tarot does not follow the traditional Rider–Waite Tarot, It has only 21 major arcanas and eight suits of minor arcanas. Each suit of minor arcanas has seven cards that only consist of court cards which are page, knights, Baron, Prince or princess, queen, king and aces. The quality of the card stock is medium and a little bit flimsy, similar to his other decks as it has a matte coating finish and feel. You will get a very smooth shuffle but you do need to be careful if you do not want to bend the cards. There is also a metallic blue gilding which is the one reason I can forgive the quality of the card stock. The colors of the cards are kept to Bosch's color palette of his artwork, but the printing on the cards is clear and superior in my opinion. This deck does feel both like a tarot and an oracle deck. Using artwork from the northern Renaissance within spirituality does have a certain charm to it because I am a big nerd for art history. However, I do not recommend this for beginners because it is not a traditional tarot deck but I do recommend this deck for those of you who are lovers of art, especially art pieces from the Northern Renaissance. This is a functional deck but it is also a collector's item in my opinion. Did a whole in-depth review video for this deck!

I use this deck on my youtube channel and it does not disappoint. I had this deck on my wish list for a year, I should've bought it sooner. It effortlessly and expertly conveys the darker side of life. If you're a collector or a shadow reader this deck is a MUST HAVE. DON'T HESITATE!! And the quality of the card stock is top notch

I'm not a fan of tarot; the reason I bought this was for the images of Bosch's paintings, who is one of my favorite painters. I was truly amazed by the interpretation of each card and thoroughly enjoyed practicing reading them. The packaging of the tarot is impeccable.

Beautiful but unfortunately received item opened, used and ripped. Will be returning for a new one.Edit: Ordered a replacement and Amazon delivered swiftly the next day and this time the item is sealed new. It took a second try and will need to return the first one but got what I ordered and wanted.

En mi opinion no se debería llamar tarot, ya que no sigue la estructura de 22 arcanos mayores y 56 arcanos menores. Es mejor mentalizarse a que es un oráculo ya que tiene una estructura muy diferente y no se puede usar como un tarot "normal". Lo compré porque me gusta mucho el trabajo de El Bosco, y en ese sentido cumplió mis expectativas. La versión que yo adquirí no es de papel de lino, como anuncia el autor, lo cual lo hace de precio más accesible. La caja es dura, y en general por el precio es excelente calidad.

Es ist eher Orakel Level 1000. Hat mit klassischen Tarot nichts zu tun. Am Anfang etwas schwer zu verstehen was gemeint ist. Mit der Zeit ist eine tolle Bereicherung

Firstly, I love Bosch’s paintings - main reason I bought these cards. And I’m impressed with their quality, a little book and the box it comes in. Cards have a standard size and thickness. For this price (almost £20) I’m surprised how nice it is.
